Here is the answer. It was Kyo's fault that Tohru's mom died in the car accident. It happends later in the manga. Not on Volume 15. But then Tohru befriend Akito, but she fell from a cliff. After that she got afraid of Kyo. By the way, Kyo told Tohru the truth.
I know. Kyo ends up with Tohru. Did you know why Kyo ran away for 4 months? (There are clues through out the series)
