I remember the times we've spent together,
Our love holding us ever so tight.
Over the years when I looked beside me,
I see you there smiling back at me.
I realize that there is nothing I can turn to,
Right next to me is no one.
Though I can't help remembering,
That your presence will always be there.
Our love used to be the greatest thing in my life,
Then you were gone.
It crumbled beneath my feet into a tiny million pieces,
I am left to scourage for the broken heart.
In my chest there is nothing beating,
There is nothing there at all.
I can't help thinking,
One day you won't be who I think of.
I can't help forgetting,
All the memories.
It hurts to remember,
So I let it go.
Why did you leave without any warning?

Your laughter,
Your smile,
You eyes,
Our kiss.
Why did you have to go?
I am afraid I will never remember,
The time we spent together,

Our shared sadness.
