So seeing as I know for a fact no-one ever reads these, I guess I cna let of some steam.

Hmm, well for a start I've not touched a drop of alcohol for two weeks now, a fact I'm kinda proud of. Think I'm doing a good job of proving to myself that I don't have a drink problem. No need to go into that right now.

I'm currently doing crappy at nanowrimo. Doesn't look like I'll recover. Too much coursework etc getting in the way. Huge shame.

Now for something serious. Got a nice comment on the forums today from Cuperos, asking if I get a kick out of flaming people, and I figured I might as well asnwer it head on: yes. yes I do. Next question?

In all sriousness, tho, I have to admit that if somebody's going to insist on making comments such as "you're not entitled to comment on the state of the main TP site seeing as I personally haven't noticed you outside of the forums" or "you insult people to feel big", then damnit I'm gonna encourage you! And laugh at you to boot. I know, I know it's a bad habbit but there y'go. I'm not a moderator, I'm not in the employ of Tokyopop, and I definately don't have a reputation to worry about. That said there _is_ a pretty simple idea: you don't act like an idiot and you won't get treated like one. And generally speaking taking a holier than thou attitude, or trying to act better than others, or acting like a complete jerk just because you think someone might be trying to insult you (not talking about anyone in aprticular here, these are just various traits that annoy me) are all pretty much idiotic behaviour.

That said, I joke about. We all do. How you react to that's what matters. If you politely say that you don't like it, by PM if you want to be taken seriously, then fine. If you start hurling abuse, or demanding apologies, or getting all defensive? Oh grow up. Yes this is the internet. Yes people are here to have fun. No that doesn't mean you can behave any differently to how you would in real life. Simple. End of.

To reiterate: Just because it's the internet doesn't mean meatspace rules don't apply. Deal.
