The next morning everyone was awaken early to greet the new professor and his assistant. They were all less than eager to see Juda's replacement, but they casually posistioned themselves around the parlor comfortable paired close to whom they enjoyed in the manor, but not too far from Ayami.

It was Cotton and Elise at the baywindow, Elise was still half asleep so Cotton held him close so he wouldn't fall. Mary and Alice sat on the floor holding eachother's hands. Mauve was distant posed behind Ayami who sat in the large black leather smoking chair that once belonged to her father. And lastly Xavier, Cory, and Alexander stood on either side of the chair and Alexander shifted slightly on the floor before her his head on her lap. Being that she had slept with Alexander that night he was allowed to be the closest to her.

     Lace entered first then Richard. "Good morning, I'm professor Richard Morcroft and this is my younger sister Lace Morcroft," he nodded towards her then continued. "We are here to continue our eldest brother's work...er...research. We will first start with his earlier projects...er...testsubjects, then work our way to the most rescent. I will conduct the basic check up and ask a few questions about what my brother has done to maintain your indivdual status of health." He finished his introduction then immedately began on the check ups and questions. Elise was first, then Cotton, next was Mary, and then Alice, then Mauve, Xavier, Cory, Alexander then finally Ayami.

     By the time it was her turn Lace could hardly contain herself. When she walked into the room and the door closed behind her, Lace attacked her pinning her to the ground. "Sorry, I just couldn't hold myself any longer. It's you, it's really you. Oh how long I've waited for this day." She purred running her tongue past her throat. "I've dreaded it." Ayami replied. "Too bad. Now that I have you I don't know what to do first, but it doesn't matter I have all the time in the world to do what ever I want to you from now til dust." she smerked nipping at the spot behind her ear.

    "That's enough Lace. Lets get back to work, you can play with her later." Richard said absently as if by routine. Lace let her face hover for a moment about Ai's then stood up getting off of her. "Your last check up was two days ago at Scarlet's place wasn't it? Then there is no need to look over her work, she helped create you and all so of course she knows what makes you tick. Anyway aside from that have you had anything new happen to you, fits of anger, uncontrolable desire, or anything of the such that would suggest something wrong with your programing?" Glancing from the metal clipboard he noticed something different in her eyes. He took out a small flashlight and shined it in her eyes. "Ai follow the light with your left eye." he said covering her right with his hand. She did and then he told her to do the same with her right as he covered her left eye.

     "Ayami? How long have you been blind?" he asked leaning away and turning off the light. "Blind, what are you talking about I can see you just fine." she said. "Your pupils show no strinkage when light hits it, and you didn't follow the light when it moved you followed something else that was in time with the movement of the light." he explained. "I don't understand I seem to be seeing just fine." she stated again. "She sees with her mind not her eyes." Came a voice from the door. Scarlet entered the room and took her place by Ai's side. Richard glanced from her to Ai then back at her. "Really, well then, Scarlet; we need to talk. Ai you are free to go I will call you back when needed. Scarlet and I have some things we need to discuss. Lace you leave too." He said his tone tight. Lace didn't argue like she normally would, she willingly followed Ayami out of the room.
