Review of
"Mark of the Succubus Vol 1"
this volume of mark of the succubus was a good one for volume 1 but i expect better for the next volume. the first in the series left me hanging and i wanted to go out and get the next one asap but i haven't made the trip yet so be expecting a review for the second one soon. i found that this volume was a great introduction to a series that i hope could become a united states anime sometime soon. it was great with a mixture of drama, horror, action, and romance but i do wish that the story line was a bit more challenging to understand so that i had to think about it more. i found it hard to put down though as i was reading it. it was a little to easy to read and i was awed by some of the art work in it though with some of the most in depth demon drawings ive seen so far in manga but i wasn't suprised by the standard human drawings that ive seen in many mangas so far. i advise anyone who was a trinity blood or FMA fan to check this one out but those DBZ fans probably won't get the action out of this one that they would any dbz mangas.
the story line consists of a yong succubus-in-training named maeve and a teenage human named aiden along with some of his freinds and maeves teacher varile. i don't want to give much of the story line away because i encourage readers to go out and read the manga themselves. and if you can find it in your local library i suggest you pick it up. it was more than you would expect from the cover like most mangas so just give it a try. overall i give this one a 7 out of 10 or a 4 out of 5
