As some of you know (and some of you don’t), July 13th is going to be the one year anniversary of the founding of MLC. To celebrate, I have decided to try (notice the emphasis) to arrange an award presentation of sorts. Think of it like the Oscars…but with writing. Or something.

There will be one month where any member of MLC may nominate any other member of MLC for any of the categories (we’ll get to those in a minute). After that, I’ll take the most nominated stories/clanmembers and post a list. You then have one month to vote.

Anyway, these are the categories…

Best Writer
This award goes to the best overall writer in MLC. This would be someone who can write in multiple genres, styles, and forms.
Requirements:
- None!

Best Series
Requirements:
- Must have more than one chapter.
- Must be a continuing series. (In other words, two unrelated short stories in the same universe don’t count.)
- Does not need to be completed to be eligible

Best One-shot
Requirements:
- Must be a one-shot story. In other words, it cannot be related to anything else that the author has written. The only exception is two unrelated short stories set in the same universe.
- Must be one installment long only! If it’s more than one chapter, it doesn’t count, no matter how short it is.

Best Fanfiction
Requirements:
- Must be a story (either series or one-shot) using another author’s characters. However, the other author whose fiction is being used does NOT need to be published. For example, a Zokusho fanfiction would count.

Best Poem
Requirements:
- Must be a poem. Duh.

Best Clanfiction
Requirements:
- Must be a fiction (either short story or series) featuring at least one clanmember from MLC.

You may nominate up to two people/stories per category. You may not nominate yourself. Please send me your nominations in a PM or they will not be counted!

You may vote for one person/story per category. You may vote for yourself (although why you’d do so is beyond me). Please send me your votes in a PM or they will not be counted!

Clanmembers, if you have any prizes you’d like to contribute, please let me know. I’ll hopefully have a prize list (if there is one) posted fairly soon.
