Chapter 5: Omen of our future...

I awaken once again in my room.

I sit up in my bed and hold my head.

“My heads killing me.”

I can’t shake the vision of that girl from my head.

I can see her face contort as the demons commence their attack.

It sends chills up and down my spine.

I shake my head and I walk to the bathroom and get ready.

When I’m finished, I look at the clock.

“Today is a half day… Yeah I’m not going to school today. I’m glad I didn’t dress in my uniform”

I grab my headphones and I walk out the door.

I start walking and I sense something wrong.

I turn around and I see this wave of demons in the clouds.

I can hear them calling a name.

I can’t understand them though.

All of a sudden they stop and stare at me.

They then conjure a fierce rainstorm.

They look at me and begin to howl.

I look at them and laugh.

I then feel a power arise inside me and my left eye turns red.

I then continue to walk until I see this strange looking house.

I cover my left eye and it looks normal, but when I uncover it, I can see this black aura that surrounds it.

Just then the door opens.

“Should I go in?”

 I then walk up to the house and enter it.

I immediately feel as if I am being watched and drained of my power.

Even though the house is well lit, I can see demons scurrying around.

I then walk upstairs and I see a room at the end of the hallway.

The door is cracked open and something compels me to enter the room.

I slowly open the door and I see a girl.

Just then I feel this sharp pain in my chest and head.

I then fall to the floor next to a mirror and I see that both of my eyes are red…

I stand up and walk up to the girl.

“I’ve seen her before. You were the one in my dream.”

Just then I see hundreds of demons who surround her.

She looks at me with tearful eyes and says, “Help me”

I then jump and grab her in my arms.

The demons begin attacking me.

I get up and jump out of the window and fall two stories onto the ground.

I fall on my back making sure the girl is unharmed.

She rolls off of me as the demons race out of the window and towards me.

I pull out the rosary from my pocket and wrap it around my left hand.

I punch the ground and a black wave hits the demons and destroys them.

They then turn into sulfur and fall to the ground.

As soon as the sulfur touches my hand, my body begins absorbing it.

I then begin to go berserk and I jump to my feet.

I stare at the girl with an evil grin.

“Please… run”

She does not comply; she just sits there with tears in her eyes.

I then feel a pain in my chest and I fall to the ground.

I throw up.

I look down and I see blood… my blood…

The girl looks at me and smiles.

“You saved me…”

“Don’t mention it”

“But… how can you see them?”

“I was born with this… gift. I’ve always been able to see them.”

“But the doctors said I was crazy…they said… my parents said…”

“Out of sight out of mind. If someone has not experienced something then to them it does not exist.”

“How are you able to deal with this? Aren’t you lonely?”

“It comes with the territory. I chose this path and now I must walk it. You still have a chance to go back to how things were before. All you have to do is ignore it until you stop seeing them”

She looks at me with a blank expression, but her eyes reveal she is in deep thought.

“Well let me introduce myself, my name is Johnny.”

“Hi, my name is Gilaine”

“Nice to meet you… is this your.. Home?”

“I just moved here… you see… my father passed away and this house is part of my inheritance…”

“I’m so sorry for your loss”

“It’s fine… it’s just… these weird things have been happening and I can’t explain it”

“Well I want you to wait out here. I’m going to clear your house of this infestation.”

I walk into her house and immediately feel this pressure unlike anything I’ve ever felt.

I look around and I see nothing but when I close my eyes I can see the source of the evil.

“It’s her room”

I walk up stairs and enter her room.

I feel sick to my stomach as if my body is warning me of some impending danger…

I should’ve listened

Just then a wave of demons rises from the ground and slams me against the wall.

My rosary flies out of the window.

The demons then form into one huge demon.

The demon begins to beat me and throw me around like a rag doll.

Eventually something inside me gives in and I snap.

I feel light… I feel this power over taking me… it is a good pain…

The demon rushes to attack me but I intercept it with a right punch.

The demon burst open and hundreds of demons pour out.

They then begin to make the room demented and distorted.

They now begin sporadically attacking me from all sides.

I just stand there and laugh as I take their ever increasing punishment.

I then clench my left fist and punch a hole in the floor.

My arm then begins to absorb all the evil in the room.

I begin t scream in pain.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

It feels as if my body is ripping apart.

I then absorb the remaining evil and fall to the floor.

My chest feels as if it is on fire.

I grab a cigarette from my pocket and light it.

I take a drag from it and inhale deeply.

I then stand up and exhale.

At that moment I feel sick

I race to her bathroom and I throw up in her sink

It’s…. Not blood… it’s similar to blood only… only that it’s black…

I then wipe my mouth and stumble out of her house.

“Your house should be fine now”

I then put my headphones on and begin to walk home.

She races up to me and gives me a deep hug.

I feel this release in my soul and I begin to cry.

She looks at me and says, “Your eyes aren’t red anymore”

I then feel embarrassed and let go of her.

I turn on my mp3 player and I begin to walk home.

“What’s wrong with me? I can’t feel this way… I… she’ll only get hurt in the end…”

After a short walk I enter my house and up to my room I go.

I lie in my bed and kick my shoes off.

I look at my left hand and notice not a scratch.

“What am I? What’s my purpose? Why am I forsaken?”
