“Well, Mr. Bell, can you tell me about yourself.”, I said. He started to lean back in the chair, as if he was trying to get comfortable. “Well, I was born and raised in Columbia, Maryland and I have a daughter and three nephews.”, he said. I was thinking that he took the question literally. “I mean tell me about your history with your powers.”, I said, interested in his history. “Well when my powers flared up, literally it burned my house and a whole street.”, he said. I felt like that he didn’t want to go back to his past.

“Well what happened after your powers flared up?”, I said. He was looking at me with an angry gnarl on his face. Which lead to me thinking that this was a dark time in his pas. . . I wanted to know more. “The fire killed everyone, including my whole family except for one person.”, Terrence said with the same angry gnarl on his face. “Who was this other person?”, I said wanting to get more information. “He was my little brother, William.”, he said. “How could your brother survive the fire?”, I said. He started to slowly get up towards me.

I could see the flames envelope his body. My desk burning into cinders from beneath his hands. “Ask me one question about that day, I’ll kick your ass!”, Terrence said. He slowly began to calm down with the flames slowly disappearing. “What happened in your days with the Army?”, I said, trying to calm fear down. “I enlisted into the army to try to get away from incident. I was deployed to Iraq days after I was deployed there was a suicide bomber that attacked our base.

I was right next to the explosion where it happened. There were two more men that attacked, those men carried much more explosives than the first. My whole body was covered by the flames.”, he said. I was wondering how he could survive an attack of that proportion. “How could you survive?”, I said. “I’m immune to fire, I am fire.”, he said in a powerful voice. “What happened after that, Terrence?”, I said trying not to get him angry again. “I used my powers to fly to track down the terrorists that were responsible for this. When I found them I destroyed their base. Flames everywhere. They thought I was a being of the sun.”, Terrence said with a happy voice. I’m getting more afraid of him every time he spoke. If I’m afraid of him just wonder what his brother is like.

“So, is that the end of what happened, Mr. Bell?”, I said in a quivering voice. “Well, no. On the news they thought America dropped a Napalm bomb. Then after that while I was watching the news I was attacked. I remember waking up in a cell sitting next to a crazy white guy.”, he said, the stopped after that. “Where is your brother, I need information!?”, I said wanting more. He started to get up again. I started to move back quickly in fear. His body started to envelope in flames. “Go to Prison #0”, he said. He then flew out through the window. Then Mr. Wilson comes busting through the door, “He ditched me again! The little bastard!”, he shouted jumping through the window.
