As many of you probably heard
A picture tells a thousand words
Looking at them, one by one
Until this cumbersome job is done
But I get a feeling of dj vu
And I'm not quite sure what to do
Because the different pictures change
Before my eyes and rearrange
Into a vision of jumbled lines
Like the jagged pieces of a jigsaw puzzle
With the muffled noises through a muzzle
With all their true faces, hidden between the spaces
Of their happy captions and joyful expressions
While they prance along merry
Through the watchful gaze of a fairy
As it sits on its throne
And hands out its loans
Of the daily routine and endless drone
That is life in this place with it's neurotic pace
With its robotic monotonic pathetic patriotic idiotic grace
With their faces in a jumble and they all begin to mumble
That yes they are fine and dandy
If they could just get some candy
Sprinkled with cocaine, dunked in some rum
And if you please, with some nicotine-flavored gum
That makes their heads loopy
And makes their eyes droopy
As they flash the bird
Or use curse words
And take pictures of their reflection
That gives no satisfaction
Because the camera glares
While the person stares
And its all bright light
That blinds everyone's sight
So that the pictures become the same
With only different names
But we know better
