Sakuya slowed her run as she reached the tree. She looked over at Haru who she had grabbed on the way.

            “Haru I’m sorry for making you come back here with me I know you probably wanted to talk with Kyo.” Sakuya said as she looked away embarrassed at what she had just done. All Haru did was shake his head.

            “Sakuya it’s fine I told him to leave me alone today anyhow he knew I was with you that’s why he came. That jerk just wants to get at you, he can’t stand the fact that you’re able to go on without him. Even… even though I know you’re always thinking of him.” At that last statement Sakuya’s head shot up.

            “NO! No I’m not thinking about him. H-Haru….” ‘It’s you I’m thinking of…’  “I’m sorry if I never should of... I just couldn’t.... I can’t get you involved.”

            “Sakuya what’s wrong? What are you talking about? Man, … Kyo did some number on you I guess.”

            “Yeah I guess so…” Sakuya said looking away ‘he doesn’t realize I’m trying to say it’s him I feel for not Kyo’ she started laughing haft heartedly “I guess it can’t be helped then.”

            “What? What just got into you? You never laugh like that. Was it something I said?” Haru asked as he tilted his head to the side in confusion. “Sakuya what happened between you and Kyo? If you don’t mind me askin' such a question.”

            “No I don’t mind as long as you’re sure you wanna know.” She looked as him as she sat down under the tree where her body print still was from earlier.

            “Yeah I’m sure I wanna know as long as it won’t hurt you.” He said sitting beside her. ‘Of course! I wanna know everything about you.’

            “Ok then, let’s see where to start… it started when you introduced me to him, you didn’t know it but he was from my hometown.”

            “What why didn’t either of you guys tell me that before then? I mean it’s been over two years since then. Why couldn’t you tell me?” Haru interrupted abruptly.

            “Calm down Haru one question at a time. Ok Kyo wouldn’t let me tell you I knew him. He said if I did then he would bring everything I left from here so I’d have to leave again.”

            “What was he gonna do? Sakuya what dose he have on you that’s so bad that you would have to leave?”

            “Haru the truth is…. Um…. You remember how I get sick a lot?”

            “Yeah but what dose that have to do with anything?”

            “Remember last moth when they found a dead cow with only two holes in its neck?”

            “Yeah I said it was weird and you called me paranoid. What dose any of this have to do with each other?”

            “Well I killed that cow… I know it sounds crazy but it’s true.”

            “Why would you kill old man Donte’s cow? How did you do that with no one seeing you and why only two holes on the neck?”

            “I needed the blood and it’s better then killing old mad Donte. It was 3 in the morning that’s why no one seen me and all I needed was two puncher wounds.”

            “What did you need blood for anyway?”

            “I need blood to live or I would dry up and turn to dust like my dad did.”

            “What? Why? How?”

            “Haru I’m a vampire… actually I’m a half-vampire, my dad was a pure breed though. That’s why I can walk in the sunlight without during.”

            “WHAT!? I don’t believe you. This is serious and you’re makin' jokes.”

            “Haru I’m telling you the truth I swear it! I know it’s crazy and everything.”

            “You’re darn right it’s crazy but were dose Kyo come into play then?”

            “Kyo… Kyo’s sister was the first person I had ever bitten. Kyo seen it though and go so upset that set up a vampire hunt, making papa and me have to leave our home. Mama said she wouldn’t leave the home and life she had and forced us to leave her behind. Kyo has been following me ever sience that day six years ago.”

            “Six years now? You’ve only been here two though and where is your father then?”

            “Before I moved here I lived with papa in India, that’s where he died. I was only fourteen years old when I became an orphan and moved here.”

            “So what happened to Kyo’s sister?”

            “Me and Nina were best friends we sheared everything from secrets to our birthday.”

            “Sakuya that doesn’t answer my question.”

            “After I bite her she went into a coma.”

            “Then why isn’t Kyo with her instead of chasing you all around.”

            “It’s cause about a week later she woke up.”

            “Then everything worked out right so he should go home.”

            “Not quite you see the first person Nina asked to see was… me the person who put her there. Her cousin Amine told her that Kyo had me run out of town. When she heard this she took off without a word. Kyo blames me for Nina leaving and thinks I know something about where she might be.”

            “So Kyo blames Nina’s running away on you when he’s the one that ran you out. He’s the one to blame not you Sakuya and he needs to take that responsibility. It’s not your fault so don’t lesson to him.”

            “But Haru it is my fault because I’m the one that bit her not him.”

            Haru looked at her with disbelief at what she had just said. “No it’s not even if that is so you would never do anything to hurt someone you care for as deeply as you cared for her.

            “Haru… thank you. It seems as though you always know exactly what to say to make me feel better.” She leaned over giving him a hug pushing him onto his back. They both started to laugh at how things were turning out Riku walked up the hill and looked at the tree to see her brother and Sakuya laying in the shady grass area under the tree.

            “Well now what’s goin on here? What did I miss?” Riku said with a confused look in her ruby red eyes. Sakuya separated from Haru and turned bright red.

            “N- nothing” both Sakuya and Haru said in unison. Riku looked at them in disbelief of the words they say.

            “Sakuya please tell me you’re not dating my twin brother.” Sakuya turned an even brighter shade of red and shook her head no.

            “No I’m not” ‘no matter how much I want to’ Haru looked at the sadness in Sakuya’s face when she answered his sister. “Um I gotta go guys I’ll see you both later, peace.” With that she stood up and began to walk back down the hill. Haru looked at his sister for a second then put up one finger to tell her to hold on a moment getting up and running after Sakuya. When he reached her he looked behind him to see if his sister was watching them, she was too lost in her own thoughts to worry about them.

            “Sakuya wait a minute.” He said to her in a calm voice. She stopped walking and looked back at him. “There’s something I wanted to do before you left.”

            “What would that be?” she asked looking down from him not to let him see the tears filling up her dark brown eyes.

            “This.” Haru said grabbing Sakuya and pulling her back to him. Once she was in his arms he grabbed her chin forcing her to look up at him. Then he pressed his lips hard against her soft lips. Sakuya slowly closed her eyes and kissed him back. Once she realized what was going on she pushed him away and ran from him.

            ‘Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! Why would you do that!? You messed everything up.’
