I knew I had to do it,
have a talk with Mom and Dad;
about my sexuality,
I had to share it all.
I sat them bout right down,
they were bout nervous, I could see.
In my slow Eastern drawl,
I told them all about me.
I stuttered and I stammered,
I think I cried a little too:
as I poured out my heart,
I felt it was the right thing to do.
They both listened and were quiet
and I woudered what they were thinking.
when Dad pulled out a bottle
and said I think we need to do some drinking.
He said, you see........
we've been wanting to talk to you too.
We just didn't know quite how,
we didn't have a clue.
But now, see here daughter, it goes something like this......
Your Mom used to be a mister.......
and I used to be a miss.
As you can well imagine,
I didn't know what to say.
I took a drink,
then a deep breath,
afterall.......
WE ARE FAMILY!!!!!!!!
