I think the artwork is . . . okay. It does its job, for the most part. Certainly the storytelling aspects in some parts are very clear, but since most first-time efforts tend to go overboard with dynamism, this restraint is refreshing.

 

I'm not really drawn into the story as much as I'd like to be. There's not enough about either protagonist to make me feel some identity with them, which is why I find it a bit contrived.

Artwork is more in the alternative vein, but that's okay. Story, on the other hand, seems a bit more contrived.
