Part IX: Happily Every After

           Soon Prince Peter and Modoc found themselves in a clearing in the woods. Peter frowned, squinted his eyes, and saw a very queer sight.  About ten, no, seven, seven little men, dwarves, were kneeling around a…a coffin? The Prince dismounted, removed his cap in respect, and came closer. In the coffin laid a beautiful, pale maiden, who looked like she was merely sleeping….. In dismay, Peter realized who she was: Snow White! It was all he could do to hold back his tears. The dwarves merely looked up; they were too sad to question the young stranger.

So, the Prince thought sadly, bowing his head, you left me behind.

And then, he slowly lifted up the coffins lid, leaned forward, and kissed Snow White gently on the lips.

“Good bye.” He whispered softly into her ear, looked at her face for one last time, memorizing her every feature, before he turned around and walked away, when, suddenly, he heard a faint moan. His heart skipping a beat, he turned around once more to see the Princess, who was  alive!

           There was never a happier day in their lives. Snow White smiled weakly, the color in her cheeks beginning to return. The Prince then picked her up gently, and helped her to her feet.  Not too much could be recalled about this reunion except that, yes, Snow White had agreed to marry the Prince once they returned to his home, and agreed to let the dwarves meet them at the  camp so that they can travel with them back to his palace. The dwarves where made the King’s Miners, and, to today, most of Germany’s monarchy fine jewelry, crowns, and noble swords where made by the brothers. 

             In time, Snow White became the Queen, and Prince Peter became King, and they had five, beautiful children, whom they named Catharine, Sophie, Fredric, Phillip, and Peter II.  

And they lived happily ever after.

Part X: Once Upon A Time

                  The City was silent, the air was still. It has been two months since the Queen and Snow White had disappeared, though it was rumored that the princess had married the Prince Peter. The old Queen Victoria, now in her late elderly years, took over the throne, though the people doubt that she would last, and what then? There was hardly anyone in the streets when a lone, hooded woman arrived, seated on a tall, proud, black stallion.  With a click of her tongue, the horse galloped, forcing her hood to fall, reveling a beautiful face, with black eyes, and fierce red hair, which flew in the wind. She stopped at the Palace gates, talked some with the guards, who let her enter. She walked alone into the throne room and glared at Victoria in the eye.

“My name is Red Rose,” she declared majestically,  

“And I am the future Queen.”
