But I will not deny that I was in fact popular. I'd also like to say that bunching people up in groups (like "emo") and actually DEFINING and DECIDING if they are real or not is absolutely hilarious in a sad way.

Well, then if you really think that a "geek" like you can't survive then go ahead and change yourself into someone that can survive. You made yourself a geek, you can also change that.
