When
Shiro next woke-up it was to find that he was in a bed that was not from his
room at his so called uncle’s house or the room he stayed in the house Asuna
and Saemon stayed at. Getting up he saw an open closet full of clothes his size
and went to change into something different. As Shiro was putting the clothes
on he smelled something that he couldn’t figure out what it was. Then going out
the door he looked around to see a very stylish room. Hearing footsteps coming
up the stairs, Shiro turned to see who it was just to see Asuna and Saemon come
up both carrying bags of food. When Asuna saw Shiro she shoved the bag she was
carrying to Saemon and ran to him. “Shiro! You’re up…are you okay?” “I’m fine,
but where are we?” Saemon walked up to him after he put the bags of food down,
“We’re in what we vampires call a Vampire Haven!” “Vampire Haven…what the hell
is that?” Suddenly a man came in and the scent that Shiro smelled was coming
from him. “It’s exactly what he said it is…a vampire haven. The hunters will
not find you while we werewolves are on alert!” Shiro’s eyes widen, “You’re
saying…you’re a werewolf! Do you turn into a half-man, half-wolf or a plain
wolf?” At that the man gave Shiro an insulted look before turning to Saemon, “Is
he an idiot?” “ARE YOU CALLING ME AN IDIOT?” Saemon just smiled, “You got to
remember Danjo…he has been on this side and doesn’t know that what are in myths
are just full of crap!” Sighing Danjo turned back to Shiro, “I become a large
black wolf…not what those horror movies think we look like!” “Sorry…I didn’t
know!” Sighing again Danjo smiled and shook his head, “That’s alright! You were
taken away as a baby so you would not know all this.” Danjo then turned and
started for the table and sat down, “Well…are you coming?” At that Shiro, Asuna
and Saemon followed him and sat down. Then Shiro turned his head to Danjo,
“Wait a second…aren’t vampires and werewolves suppose to be mortal enemies?”
Danjo then looked at Shiro with a very interested look, “Long time ago we were,
but that ended when the vampires left this side to us!” “You lost me.”
“Okay…we’ll go a little bit into werewolf history.” Just then another werewolf
came into the room and placed cups of coffee in front of them before leaving.
Taking a drink from his coffee Danjo then continued, “Just before the vampires
left this side of the mist as they call it. There king went and seen our…I
guess you can call him, wolf king.” “Wolf king?” Saemon then spoke up as Danjo
took another drink of his coffee, “Werewolves have wolf packs with an alpha leader
in each one. The wolf king is the strongest and most powerful of all and he
keeps all the wolf packs and alpha leaders in check.” Danjo just nodded, “When
the two kings met the vampire king told our king that he plans to make a new world
for his people and that the werewolves can have this one. The vampires will not
to this side unless something happens that they need to come over to this side.
All we had to do is inform them of rogue vampires if we hear about any of them
and if on this side they have a safe place to go to…a kind of vampire haven if
they run into trouble. The wolf king saw no down side to this kind of peace treaty…so
he agreed and made sure the others went along with it.” “What about those that
didn’t agree to this peace?” “Like the vampires hunt those of their kind that
go rogue…so do we hunt those of our kind that go rogue.” Danjo then finished
off his the rest of his coffee then look at the window at the night sky full of
stars before looking back at Shiro. “Don’t worry young prince! While you’re
here…you will be protected. Now let me show you around the place. Asuna and
Saemon already know they’re way around, but you don’t…so come on!” Far off in
another part of the town, the hunter paced back and forth in a room thinking
about what happened yesterday after he killed that turned vampiress. He drove
his car until he found a payphone and dialed a number. “Hello!” “He wasn’t
there.” “WHAT? CAN’T YOU DO ANYTHING RIGHT! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME HE’S GOTTEN
PAST YOU.” “I will kill him once I find him.” “THAT NOT GOOD ENOUGH! YOU’RE TO
COME TO THE COMPOUND AT ONCE…THAT’S AN ORDER!” So the hunter came and was put
into this room to wait for the head vampire hunter to come. Then a person came
later to inform him that the head vampire hunter was busy and that he had to stay
the night. The next morning he woke-up to find clothes left for him in the
room. After he put them on the door opened and a person informed him again that
the head vampire hunter was still busy then left after leaving a tray of food
for him to eat. I was in the middle of the day when the door opened again and a
blind woman walked in. Walking over to one of the chairs and taking out a brail
book to read. That how he ended up now pacing back and forth as the woman read
the book, until he had enough and walked up to the door and opened it only to
find it block by an old man leaning on a cane. Stepping back into the room to
let the old man in, “WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG! I COULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN OUT
HUNTING MY TARGET.” “I’ve been busy! Besides it’s been decided that you will
have a partner in tracking the boy down.” “I work best alone! Who is this
person that I’m supposed to be working with?” At that the woman put the book
down and walked over to them. “YOUR KIDDING…YOU’RE TEAMING ME UP WITH A BLIND
PERSON!” “I’m not as blind as you think I am. I was only pretending I was so I
could see what type of person you are.” Looking at the woman with clinched
teeth, “So…what kind of person am I?” “I rather not say!” Just as he was going
to say something else the old man rapped the hunter over his head with the
cane. “THAT’S ENOUGH THE BOTH OF YOU! YOU’RE BOTH GOING TO WORK TOGETHER OR
ELSE.” Then the old man left the room leaving the two of them together, “Why
the hell should I work with you? Like I said before, I work best alone.” At
that she smiled then lifted her right palm up and a ball of fire appeared in
it. “I can control the power of flame in the palm of my hands to incinerate vampires
and I can sense the presence of vampires to track them. I’m a useful tool to
have like you once said I was. Well…I’m off to get some sleep. We’ll start
hunting tomorrow!” “Wait…what do you mean tomorrow?” “I mean you can’t do
anything to track the vampires…so we’ll start hunting tomorrow!” Then she
walked out leaving the hunter who slammed his fist into the wall with so much
force that it cracked. In another part, just out the small town a vampire stood
on a hill looking at the town. “So…this is it!” Then the vampire started
running in the direction of an old house by the woods following the phantom images
of his slave. When he got to the house he had to pass through a fading barrier
and maze trap. Once he was out he walked up to the house which had its door
wide open. “Looks like nobody’s home,” then started laughing as if he told a
joke. Walking in he saw his slave on the floor with a silver arrow in her
heart. “Ah…to bad cupcake, but that’s not cupids arrow in your heart!” then
walking past the body and into the kitchen. See a fridge he opened it and made
a disgusted look when he saw the food in it, closing the fridge he left the
kitchen. Going into one of the rooms and smelled the air to find a faint scent
of the vampire who slept in this room, “So…Sage Saemon you’re here! That would
explain the barrier and trap.” Leaving the room he went to the next room and
did the same as he did in the first one, “Lady Asuna…” a smile played on his
face as he left the room. When he went into the next room, “So…this is the room
the prince stayed in!” walking around the room he saw a pair of clothes.
Picking them up he left the room with the clothes and walked up to the body
then picked it up being careful not to touch the arrow leaving the house and going
towards the woods.
