Well, in my opinion, I can't pick from any of the Saturn ads we saw... so.... let's put them all in on the same number! It is a cheap shot to mock Nintendo like that, and especially to shot a N64 like a target, and if that wasn't bad enough, they make the Playsation look like an infant that didn't know what it was doing. Three processors?? Does that necessarily make it better??! They didn't even call it by name, they called it the Plaything, as if they weren't brave enough to use it's right name.
We all know who you're talking about Sega and no one thinks its cute,
Since they're both essentially the same, they deserve the same demerit.

I know that Super Metroid on in the US, especially since the Japanese one was so cool.
Man, the Japanese commercial was so cool. A laboratory studying Metroids....
When suddenly there is a terrible accident. The Metroid is freed. An emergency is declared, and....
Samus suits up into action! What a great commercial for such a great game!
It was a great summary of the game itself. Samus was played but a live actor and she really looked the part,
And then there's... (Sigh.) the US commercial....
Some guy in a lab coat says this is the toughest Metroid game yet,,, and tries to use a Doberman named Killer to prove it?
He goes through the game, and when he comes out... he is a scared little.... chi Wawa?!
Yeah... that makes a whole lot of sence.
Nintendo, this is how you promote one of your best games??!
It doesn't tell you what the game is like at all.

That Game Genie one>
Specifically, the NES one. This ad was bad. It had these two dudes talking surfer talk all the time, telling you about the product.
Totally awesome dude.
Yeah.... if you're demented.
Was the Genie aimed at the brain dead?
....Actually, you may be right. Think about it.
It is used to beat games easily... jump to any level, become invincible. It IS for the lazy and stupid,
Yet people still use stuff like that.

The Japanese ad for Zelda: A Link to the Past.... is guaranteed to burn in your retina.
People dressed and Link, Zelda, Gannon, and various other villains dance and act out the story....
No, we're not joking. They DANCE!!
To some super funky rap-type music,
Yeah... that is the best way to promote a title.
Dancing cosplayers is the only way to go,

Here's an ad that implies that smashing tomatoes is considered "fun".
That's... great fun.....
And oddly, it describes what the game is about.
Not like the American Metroid Ad.
What's even more sad is that the game is from the same creators as Rayman.
Why can't it be as good as that one??
Instead, it feels like the stepbrother, twice removed.

The Atari Jaguar ad, specifically the class one, is really so deprived.
Videogame Marketing 101....
Atari felt like the Jaguar was self explanatory.
Just scream the numbers at people,
Yet it makes us, the gamers, look like we're stupid, when in reality, we know that it is not a true 64-bit console.
That is way over the top.
In reality, the console wasn't even as good as the billed "32-bit" consoles, the Playstation and Saturn.
That sucks.

Now, it seems like we're hitting on Sega a lot, but we'll be honest. We're Genesis fans, but....
They did some loose ads,
One that hit us the most was that infamous old slogan.
Sega does what Ninten don't.
Cheap shots like that are not welcome in our eyes.
It is just dirty pool.
Sega, if you were hoping to sell consoles...

One personal hate is the Super Mario Bros. Deluxe ad.
It was so weird,
It has a student driver preparing for instructions from his tutor.
And the tutor is yelling instructions at him.
So, why was he yelling??!
Because he was so wrapped up in his Mario game!
Possibly one of the "worst" times to play the game.

The Battletanx ads with "Snuggle" in them.
I don't get that one....
It starts off innocent enough.
You think it's a fabric softener ad with Snuggle the bear.
Then all of a sudden....
A tank appears and attacks the bear!
What's even weirder is that... there's a second ad.
That's a rip off of the Six Million Dollar Man,
Which makes a whole lot of sense in the case of "Snuggle".
He needs to be rebuilt...
Yet he gets hit off again anyway.

It's..... so.... awful!!!! It burns my eyes!
While most only know of the Turbografx-16 now because of the Wii, most don't remember this monstrosity of an ad.
It seems to drag on forever like an infomercial.
You know what's really sad.... some of their taglines.
Graphics for amazing graphics!

They look like they are having seizures,
Now, admittedly, there were some genuinely interesting games in this ad.
