Art theft has become a HUGE problem on the site and has many users wary to post anything with meaning to them because of the fear that the piece they slaved over might be stolen by some 14-year-old from Calamazoo (blah). I also know that most of the people on my list have probably had something stolen from their gallery at one time or another, but how does the artist fight back you ask?

Well, when you see something that you know doesn't belong to another user, go to everyone in your list and ask them to flag that image. Telk the offending user that the image in their gallery is stolen, ask them to take it down, and that you are flagging the image. They usually take down the image once they know they're busted.

 Another way is to go to the artist (they've usually got a ton of loyal fans that will back them up) and tell them about the stolen image. Include the name of the user and a link to the page. Every artist I know happens to feel incredibly greatful when someone flags a stolen piece. We're a community here, and as a community, we need to make it safe to post whatever our hearts desire, without fear of theft.

If you find something stolen, please tell me, because I have my art here and while it may not be the best, I put alot of emotion and effort into each drawing. I know no other artist that wants to have someone else taking credit for their hard work.

Due to to someone telling me that putting a hall of thieves section is harrassment, I cannot put up the names of the thieves, but if you know of someone, you can just put them on the comments so people can be aware of the thief.
