EPILEPSY WARNING: Contains flashing colours and images. 'Get Yourself High' was a tune that I used to play as part of my sets a few years ago. This version contains the same loops that I used as part of a mix using three decks around the time when I began playing a lot of breakbeat...long before I started using Ableton to play around with tunes in the computer. The loops were chosen to give the beat more kick as part of a set with a harder sound. The track used on this video has been recreated in Ableton and edited to work with the music video. Most of the Chemical Brothers videos have had a lot of major exposure but this is one of the few which recieved very little. However, as a fan of old kung-fu movies I was always very fond of this for its creative use of the footage and special effects. The video was made for the release of this tune in 2003 and was directed by Koseph Khan. The footage was taken from a 1970's chinese kung fu movie called 'Two Champions of Shaolin' (also known as 'Two Champions of Death') and was used with computer graphics to sort out the lip-sync stuff. I like the extra props they put in too, like the mics, the boombox and the vinyls. www.myspace.com/djbassloop
