“I won’t do this!” She turned around only to be pushed forward by a torrent of sand. “Curse it, Gaara! Just let me go!” But the red haired youth just ignored her and kept on walking. Kaori sighed, she wasn’t getting out of this one….how had it happened again? Oh that was right, Tsunade….
“You are to take refuge in the Sand for now. Akatsuki won’t expect you to take shelter there. It’s the safest place to go now.”
“I refuse!” Yelled Kaori to the Hokage who sat tiredly behind her desk.
“Too bad…you’re going.” That had been it. No more was said and Kaori was pushed off towards the Sand.
“We’re here, Gaara-Sama.”
“Good, take Kaori to her chambers.” The kazekage looked amused at the sight of the sulking teenager. Her blond hair was in disarray along with her torn clothing. The girl could fight that was for sure…she was stubborn as well.
Temari sighed and continued knocking on the door. “I’m not coming out!” Kaori sat with her back planted firmly against the door to her room. It wasn’t going to open anytime soon. “I’d rather starve than eat some food of the Sand! Give me back to Konoha!”
“Kaori…” Temari trailed off and just put down the plate of rice balls, “In case you change your mind it’s still out here!” Shaking her head the jounin hurried on her way to the Kazekage’s office.
Kaori however was still sulking in her room even after sneaking out to eat those rice balls. Picking up a pen she opened her sketch book and began to draw. Elegant lines joined together in the form of trees and soon became the entrance to Konoha. It was very realistic looking with the past Hokage’s faces in the rocks filled in even with the cracks as she could remember them. But it seemed a bit depressing…maybe it was the pouring rain and dark clouds that did it.
A clock chimed in the distance, it was eight o’clock. A knock surprised her and she went quickly to the door and sat against it. “I said I’m not-”
“Yes, you are.” The command was quiet and firm. Pretty soon Kaori found herself face to face with Gaara. Then outside in the village itself, not willingly of course. “Now this is better isn’t it?” He asked freeing her from the sand.
“Not really.” But still she had to admit that the view was lovely. The dunes of sand in the distance loomed brightly in the fading sunlight, the village hummed with life, the river flowed in small glittering currents….it was breathtaking. Not that she would openly admit it of course.
“You’ll learn to like it.” He leaned on the railing of the balcony.
“Like I’ll be here long enough?” But to her surprise he didn’t reply instead he just stared off into the distance. Her next complaints froze in her throat. For that minute he looked….so beautiful like the desert yet so sad and lonely. “Gaara…”
Eh? What's going on with Kaori?
Enjoy^^
