Have you ever watched those movies or read those books where there are three friends, one the leader that’s a male, one that’s the beautiful female, and one that’s the follower male? Have those stories had romance in it where a girl likes the leader and she thinks he likes his female follower, and then he ends up with the girl that likes him? Then the two followers end up with each other?
This is kinda like those stories. Except you’ll never know how this story will end. This story bounces from person to person. It may get confusing, but the story is what keeps you going.
The leader in this story is Luke. He’s a 15 year old boy with black shaggy hair and dark brown eyes. He’s brave and protects his friends in their time of need.
The male follower of this story is Nick. He’s a 15 year old boy with light silky and shaggy brown hair. He has emerald green eyes and is known as the cowardly one in the group.
The female follower in the group in this group is Kimberly. She’s a 15 year old girl with long butter blonde hair. She has big bright blue eyes. She’s the smart, courageous and gorgeous one in the group.
These three 15 year olds met each other at a camp. The camp is for three months. They met each other when they were 5. Kimberly went to a separate school as Nick and Luke.
Kimberly went to a public school with a bunch of other girls while Nick and Luke went to an all boy school. It is currently the last day of 9th grade and then it would be summer and time to go to camp.
“Why can’t the day go by faster?” Nick moaned as he slammed his head down on his desk after staring at the clock.
“School’s out in 5 minutes, calm down. You’ve been saying that every 5 minutes.” Luke smiled then flipped his hair out of his face.
“Yeah, but I can’t wait to go home and pack up for camp.” Nick frowned then looked up at the clock.
“Don’t say a thing.” Luke stopped Nick before he said, “Why can’t the day go by faster?”
Nick gave Luke a stern glare then stared back at the clock. “1...2...3...4...” Nick pointed up his finger as the final bell rung.
All the boys yelled and punched each other as papers flew into the air. Nick stood up and joined them by pulling out his folder and throwing his math assignment in the air.
“Hey, so that’s where my math assignment went.” Nick laughed then punched Luke’s arm.
“Okay, let’s get out of here before someone gets hurt.” Luke laughed as he said good-bye to all of his friends.
When the two boys got outside they began to laugh as loud as they possibly could. They grabbed their sides then waited for their ride.
“I can’t wait till camp. I also can’t wait till 10th grade. We get to go to the high school and girls will be there. I bet girls will be all over you.” Nick laughed as Luke’s driver drove up to the middle school in his white stretch limo.
“I doubt that. Hey, at least we’ll see Kimberly every day instead of every summer.” Luke smiled as he jumped into the Limo as it played Fallout Boy’s Sugar...We’re Going Down.
“Speaking of Kimberly, do you still like her?” Nick asked as his head bobbed to the song.
“No, I stopped liking her when I was 13.” Luke put his hands behind his head.
“Really? Why haven’t told me? Why did you stop liking her?” Nick asked as he looked out the window.
“Well I guess I matured in a way.” Luke shrugged then started mumbling to himself.
Nick shrugged back then looked up at a big two story house with the front gate wide open.
The boys stepped out of the car and headed toward the big building. Nick walked through the big gateway and toward the door.
“Mom, I’m home!” Nick yelled as he opened the door and threw his backpack in the corner of the room.
Luke threw his in the corner too, and then ran into the kitchen. He searched around the room then spotted a plate of chocolate chip cookies fresh from the oven. Luke grabbed a hand full and stuffed them into his jacket pocket.
“Dang it! You reached the cookies first. They’re mine!” Nick laughed as he tried to pull the cookies out of Luke’s coat pocket.
“Boys, how was school today?” A woman in a sparkly red dress came into the kitchen and placed her hands on her slim waist. “Boys, do you always have to fight about who gets the most cookies?”
“Oh, hey mom.” Nick said with a mouth full of cookies.
“Hey. Why are you dressed up so fancy? Looking for a man? There’s one in front of you.” Luke joked then kissed Nick’s mother’s cheek. “You make the best cookies by the way.”
“You don’t have to remind me of that every time you come over.” Nick’s mother kissed the boy’s heads then grabbed a purse that matched her dress. “I’m heading off to a party. Nick, get packed and by the time I get home you should both be asleep.
Nick’s mother opened the front door then looked back at the boys who were tugging at the cookies again.
“Oh Luke, your stuff’s packed up for camp right? So, on our way to camp we’ll pick up your stuff and you’ll be able to see your parents.” Nick’s mother winked. “And stop fighting over the cookies.” Nick’s mother shook her head then closed the door behind her.
“Hey do you want to call Kimberly?” Luke asked as he grabbed half of the cookies and stuffed them in his pocket.
“Sure. I’ll beat you to the bedroom!” Nick darted toward the stairs as Luke grabbed his ankle.
Nick fell to the ground as Luke jumped over Nick’s stiff body. Luke made it to the room and crowned himself the new “Stair Climbing Master.” Nick looked up at Luke and scratched his head. Nick laughed and lifted himself from the hard ground.
Suddenly there was a low growling sound and the smell of a very strong expensive perfume. Nick looked down with disgust on his face. A brown pampered fluff of a Pomeranian growling up at him.
“Hello, Ginger. What are you doing here? Mommy’s not here so skedaddle out of here.” Nick shooed the dog knowing full well what was gonna happen next.
Ginger growled louder then leapt forward and sunk her tiny, but sharp teeth into Nick’s leg.
“Ow! Dog, that hurts! Get off me, you mutt!” Nick scrambled toward the stairs, dragging the dog along.
The sudden tapping of shoes came from the room next door and seemed like horror to Nick’s and Luke’s ears. The Pomeranian began to whimper as the bell on her expensive pink collar rang with ever step that she took toward the tapping noise.
“Aw, my poor baby! Nick! Luke! What did you do this time?!” A feminine voice yelled from the other room.
Nick looked up at Luke and started to mumble. Luke joined Nick down stairs and helped him up.
“Are you okay, man?” Luke asked as he looked at the floor, witnessing a pair of red ballet flats tapping in front of him.
Luke and Nick looked up to see a sandy long blonde haired girl with a dark tan. Her turquoise eyes glared down at the boys. Her tight fit denim short skirt with black leggings under them, with a red tight fit short sleeved shirt with a black tank under it seemed to make Nick and Luke sick. She also tapped her feet with the sound of her new red ballet flats.
“Hello boys. What did you do to my baby? I’ll ground you both.” The woman kissed Ginger’s cinnamon colored head then gave the boys a cold look.
“Hey, go to the stripper club and dance on your pole, Janine.” Luke stood up and returned an even colder look.
“Excuse me? It’s always been like you to be the courageous one, since Nick’s so cowardly.” Janine laughed.
“Shut up Janine! You don’t know anything! You heard what Luke said, go find your stripper friends and give them a lap dance!” Nick yelled and stood in Janine’s face before Luke could.
“What did you say?” Janine looked at Nick with her mouth hanging open. “I...go to your room. I need to think.”
“That’s a first.” Nick laughed and pulled Luke up the stairs.
