oh please a star trek manga lame wait a sec there's a star wars manga yay no must not buy if i do i'll be a total nerd
YESSSS!!!!!
I am very satisfied with this series. It stays true to the original characters, and has the classic feel of the original series. I hope it continues on this way; as long as it does, I'll continue to read/buy it.
Overall I think this captured the TOS feel, which is great! Wil Wheaton's story was hilarious.
I own the first volume of this manga and i thoroughly enjoy these short stories. It's great reading new tales about the characters I loved watching on TV in reruns when I was a kid. I wish there were more of these.
This makes me want to see the new Star Trek movie even more ... TOS of Star Trek will always be the best of the franchaise. Long Live the original Enterprise crew!!!
I'm sorry, but I look at those pages and want to laugh. They look like parodies of the characters, and yet we're expected to take it seriously. Can someone please explain why Kirk looks like a 12 year old? Or why Scotty has the same build as Sponge Bob? Disgusting. To make something manga does not mean to make something stupid, yet TokyoPop misses the point AGAIN. Need to stick to licensing stuff from Japan if they can't figure out the difference between manga and stylized CRAP.
Excellent!! And to Infiniterestrict: There is a Star Wars Manga. 4 volumes per movie.
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE poopTING ME!!! DREAM COME TRUE!!!....no if they only made star wars...
wow this is my dream come true
Boldly going where no Star Trek manga has gone before... Once again, Japanese-style sequential art combines with the most renowned science fiction franchise ever created to capture the spirit of the original series in a completely new way. In “Kakan ni Shinkou,†ten artists and writers deliver tales of triumph aboard the original NCC-1701. Here, Kirk is put on trial--for crimes he has yet to discover... Uhura demonstrates the true power of communication... Bones gets to the true core of Vulcan emotion... Scotty has to extract dilithium crystals in the middle of a war zone... And an alien delegation uses the Enterprise crew as a vessel of deception! This new volume of Star Trek: The Manga-- Kakan ni Shinkou features stories by TNG’s Wil Wheaton, Diane Duane, Mike Wellman, Paul Benjamin and Christine Boylan as well as art by EJ Su, Don Hudson, Steven Cummings, Bettina Kurkoski and Nam Kim.
That was cool...I'm really glad they made a manga version of this series...it's kinda wierd, but somehow I think Spock is kind of cute...Ye Gods! I never thought I'd say that in my life!
it's got that feeling that the old series had sweet
Whoo hoo for Star Trek!!! :)
