Prologue:

        Fala put on her long cloak and stepped out the door. The winter had begun. The long, bitter, and captivating winter was finally here. She had no idea, none, that this winter, she would not have the burden of serving the winter queen. "The Mistress of Frost" is what they called her. They of course, were the Symbols...never to be disturbed again. Never to be tormented by the wolves. The wolves are her guards that haunted the very forest that we dwell in. Unseen to the human eye for as long as they have had the privilege. They are the minions of this bitter queen. Fala looked to the sky…no more battleships. No more watch birds.

            “Never again”, Fala said to the doorman.

            “I know the feeling”, he replied.

            He has always been loyal, and why he has been confined to this grotesque body I have always questioned. Maybe this is just the way she left her mark. The Winter Queen I mean. Even though she is now inside of that liquid sunshine statue, she can still influence the minds of others. Since the doorman was one of the only people that stood alone beside me in oppose to this senseless war, she punished him. Why you ask? Well, because he helped Shelyn. But at least she isn’t alive to see the horrible aftermath that The Mistress of Frost had left behind. Her gravestone sits alone. In her honor, and also as she wished, it is away. Away from all the Symbols. So that they will never fear her again.
