Should Dramacon be turned into an anime?
Dramacon is a great series and while it's done by someone who isn't japanese, it's artwork is quite fun to view and apreciate. The storyline is quite interesting focusing on the drama of relationships, flirty boyfriends and the caotic atmosphere of an anime convention.
Svetlana Chmakova does a great job illustrating the characters emotion in a great chibi-like way. In my opinion I rather liked the series because of it's way to be funny and serious at the same time (kinda reminds me of Fruits Basket, minus the zodiac curse), so could be a hit if it's done into an anime series?
I think that it would be nice seeing this great manga in an animated series (more anime like and less american style), but because so far it's releasing only 3 volumes, I think it would be only a short series or maybe it could be done as a full lenght movie...on second thought, I think the short series would be fun. As for being a hit, the fans will decide.

It's a good Idea, yet there are two key things that are probably going to stop it from becoming an anime. One, is how short it is. Most anime are at least ten episodes long. Two, animes always change something. If Svet's Dramacon were to be made into an anime, no doubt they would change the script, the true art of the charactors, or even the settings. And we all know that the chances of them getting voices that fit their charactors are slim to none, which means they would sound..well, just stupid. The only way I would like it if it became an anime is if there was no alteration to script and charactor appearences, and the voices fit decently.

I'm not sure how much of a hit it would be with other people but I'd definitely buy it. Its a great series and would be great on TV.

I really love dramacon, but It wouldn't make a good anime, because there at con, for a few days and then leave and come back next year, theres just to much space between, its a wonderful manga and just because it was done over here dosen't mean thats the reason it won't become an anime.

Well, give it some time to flesh out a bit more. I think if she keeps it up the way she's going, it had BETTER be an anime soon. Because her stuff is absolutely incredible. I'm dying for the third book and I have five more months to wait!
