rem is the artist for Vampire Kisses and the first-ever winner of TOKYOPOP's Rising Stars of manga contest --and now she has a shiny new trophy to add to her shelf!

The Morning International Manga Competition (M.I.M.C) is an international-scale manga competition put on by Morning magazine and judged by Kodansha.  With entries from over thirty countries last year, M.I.M.C recognizes spectacular talent outside of Japan in order to introduce their world to Japan and the rest of the world, making manga a truly global medium!  Congratulations to rem for winning the 1st annual M.I.M.C!  rem created the stunning art for "Kage no Matsuri" (Festival of Shadow) in collaboration with writer Bikkuri.  Their grand-prize winning entry will be published in the October issue of Japan's Morning 2 magazine!  Click here to see rem's winning entry and how to enter the 2nd annual M.I.M.C.
