My own Art Thief?
Wow, I guess my Furuba "IY Halloween" pic got featured or something in the magazine. Which surprised me...and somewhat confuses me seeing as maybe they should have e-mailed me about it or something *sigh*
Also, people seem to think that I am my own art thief.
Ahem. The watermark on the bottom says "Youkai Yume 2005"
What is my name? Youkai Yume.

There is no other Youkai Yume. I'd suspect from all of my other past rants since I have come to make myself public in 2003 that I abhor art thieves.
Oh, don't have a DA account? Oh, Youkai Yume has an e-mail address! It's displayed on DA. Go ahead, tell her about the art thief that is herself on Tokyopop.

I also noticed that the majority of these accusations come from people who don't know how to read the comments linking them back to my original gallery, are a bit young (not to say that all young people can't read properly, just a little rash), and provide me with no proof.
Which, btw if they did, it would be proof from my own original gallery which would then be moot. (sigh)
I've actually been a victim of Plagiarism for over 40 times now. Being accused of stealing my own art, makes me sad, a little angry, VERY MUCH INSULTING, but above all, funny.
Yes, I find this funny.
On top of which, some people believe that you have to be JAPANESE in order to draw Anime well. Wow. That's a rather RACIST comment, don't you think? And a slap to ALL AMERICAN ARTISTS. I don't care what you say, that...right there? That's ignorance.
BTW, if someone can send me a scan of the tokyopop article that would be great. ^^

Well said. Seems to me people injoy stiring things up just to see what happens. I also agree with your comment on anime artists not having to be japanese to be good or even great atists as you are. I have some american friends who very apt at anime styled work and would surly agree as well. So keep up with that talent of yours.

well when I first posted stuff on this website that I thought was cool and was copy written I was bummed but also understood where they were coming from but the way they did it infuriated me. because they brought in admins and mediators from the blog to straighten me out! I understood that but When they first created this free thinking website of ideas and dreams no one reads the rules well since tokyopop is a vendor they have to honor copy written material so if you had a cool naruto banner or wanted to post a manga picture of the cover you couldn't because you had the copy write police after you which are wannabes anyways! I mean if its your profile the rules say no copywritten material! WEll I WAS NEW AT THE TIME AND DIDN'T KNOW IT! THATS WHY I HAVEN'T VISITED THIS SITE IN A VERY LONG TIME BECAUSE OF STUPID PEOPLE LIKE THAT! I apologize to the person with this profile I just wanted to tell you all this because even if you make a mistake you don't have to grill it in someones face! It ruins the whole experience! Blogs can be hurtful at times thats why Jerks should stay out of the kitchen!
I suppose some extremely ignorant people out there are incapable of reading your watermark and making the simple connection. I keep flagging people who keep stealing your work all the time as they are retarded when it comes to claiming work with a clearly placed watermark. Would have been nice for TP to let you know they put your illustration in the magazine. Congrats by the way.

OMG! High 5!! I've been a victim of plagiarism as well!! >_>;; Life isn't fair for almost all of us and it sucks. It ironic, stealing your own art xDD And somewhat ridiculous as well. Loads of people do not understand or respect the art that was worked hard on as usual... -sigh- BTW, i agree, you do NOT need to be japanese to draw anime =_=;; My sister and me are chinese and I believe we're doing fine enough =_=.
