Jou Otousan

Jou is Hana's fifty-seven-year-old grandfather and grandmaster martial artist in his own right. Jou has forgotten more forms of martial arts than most people learn in their life. He came to America years ago because of his conversion to Christianity. He loves to carve and sell small wood carvings known as netsuke and teaches martial arts in his dojo, which is next to his house.
