“Sota…”
“Mom…is that…you…”
-The figure stepped in front of the light that had streamed in from the blinds.-
“No…it’s me…Yukito…”
“Oh…Yukito I’m so happy to see…”
-He stops his sentence looking down at her shirt and saw a light red color on it. He focused more on to it, wanting microscope eyes now as he realized it was blood, not her blood but someone else’s blood. He got scared and asked her shaking…-
“Yukito…what…is…going on…here? Why is there…”
-She looked down and knew what he was going to ask her. She walked toward the blinds and opened it. The moment she did and his eyes stared at the bed that his mom laid in. You would never believe the fear and stare he was in. Nothing could have prepared him for the horror that had lain before him. The words were literally gone. There was nothing that could have saved him or explain it but only these words…-
The price of a life…and it’s yours…the price of a life…and it’s yours…
-The misery, the pain, the guilt of all his sadness, the joy, the song, the love that was left, Shina Gawa mother to 3, 36 years old was dead. Her eyes closed embarrassed that her son was looking at the now deceased mother. Her clothes bleached stained in red, her body painted with the war cry of victory of the kill, smeared against her body, lathering and bathing in her own defeat. Her body contorted and struggled against the bed sheets that concealed her from escape. The point of no return was between the bed and the door of her room. She didn’t make it to her certain death. There was nothing Sota, Yukito, or Rena could have said to sugar coat this. He stood in horror, the horror that only scary movies can give. Yukito watched on looking at him, her head down with her eyes planted on him. Afraid to show her face but curious enough to see his reaction. She didn’t say anything but waited and watched as he didn’t believe it, he couldn’t believe it she couldn’t believe it, no one, could have believed it. Letting him take it in what he saw, not healthy but the only effective method. She slowly walked up to him going and giving him a big loving hug. Rubbing the death of his mother against him, making him smell like the killer. The killer found her accomplice hugging him in the embrace of death. Snuggling his arms, Sota’s eyes gazed at his mom, not even making an effort to hug her back. His eyes did nothing but stare, Yukito knowing that he wasn’t going to stop looking as she whispered in his ear…-
“Sota…love…I’m sorry…please…say something…”
-Worried now that he wasn’t saying anything, hoping that her warmth, her love, her sympathy would get to him, but, to no avail. His eyes continued to comprehend and fix what he was seeing. His brain, not registering, focusing, contemplating, trying to find that denial for him, the excuse, the understanding. Yukito looked at him, worried more now as she looked at the gaze that she didn’t want to see ever again. His eyes cold, frightened, fixed, glazed with whatever he could be thinking. His mind could be racing, thinking of anything and anything of a million things, she did not know, afraid to know.-
“Love…So…Sota…what…are you…thinking…about now…”
-His body frozen, staring only at a dark place inhabited by him and his mother. His mother laid in a frozen midst. Floating in an abyssal between him and nothing, he looked onward toward her reaching his hand toward her. Reaching for the hand that fed him, the hand that held him, the hand that abused him, the hand that scarred him, the hand that loved him, and the hand that slapped him. The hand was open and frozen, feeling free in the air as Sota reached with all he could. Shina slowly floated away from his reach, Sota held back by some invisible force as he yelled, screaming for his mom but inaudible as he watched her vanish. Reaching, stretching, and wanting to get to his mother as she disappeared into the black heaven. Tears fell down his face yelling silently at his mother still reaching as if he could still grab her. His tears gleamed his face as he could do nothing but watch in defeat as he tried to scream audibly but still muffled not even a word.-
The price of a life…and it’s yours…
-He stopped, his face tear up and shining in the dark, the only hope of light he had left. Looking into the darkness and hearing the same voice speak out to him, like the on in his dream…-
The price of a life…and it’s yours…
-He looked all around him, afraid of what might be lurking in the darkness of his mind. He saw nothing but his own space, empty and nothing…-
The price of a life…and it’s yours…
-He looked into the darkness again, trying to yell into his mind…-
The price of a life…and it’s yours…the price of a life…and it’s yours…
-Yelling more into his mind, his feelings welling up as he did not want to hear it anymore, breaking down more yelling with no sound. Holding his head trying to block the echoing sound that he didn’t know who, no matter how hard he tried, the voice kept repeating…-
The price of a life…and it’s yours…the price of a life…and it’s yours…the price of a life…and it’s yours…the price of a life…and it’s yours…
-Yelling more into the emptiness with his hand over his ears as he screamed more trying to yell stop it to the sound but, ironically, he could not make a sound himself. He’s only choice, was to submit to the sound around him, listening to the voice as it repeated…-
The price of a life…and it’s yours…the price of a life…and it’s yours…the price of a life…and it’s yours….the price of a life…and it’s yours…
-Yelling more groaning and screaming in pain…-
The price of a life…and it’s yours…the price of a life…and it’s yours…
-Screaming and in pain all over before he yelled one last time, lifting his head high, his back arched and his eyes widen in fear and excruciating pain as he fell to the floor exhausted, tired, and in pain. Curling up into a safety ball twitching every so often, wanting it all to go away, wanting everything to go away…-
“Sota…Sota…Sota!? Please…speak to me Sota! Sota…Sota…Sota!?”
-Yukito worried more now as her eyes quivered and looked at him, shaking him a little, snapping him out of his world and back to the scene that he rather not have seen. Shina, his mother dead, the love of his life, the murder, the weapon unknown, it was the crime of the century in his mind. He couldn’t believe, the one he gave his heart too, the one who he shared everything with, killed his mother, and for what? He did not know, nor did he want to know. He stood there looking at her back, she was looking back at him her eyes quivering in confusion and in pain. She didn’t want to see him like that, the tears started to break out as she screamed at him worried and for his safety…-
“Sota!? Please say something! I saw that look in your eye before! I don’t want to see it again! You promised you wouldn’t do it again! Why Sota!? Why!? I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Please stay…who you are! Please!”
-Snuggling into him as she cried her eyes out clinging on to him. He looked down at her…-
“……”
-His words could not be spoken, he didn’t have a sound or a voice anymore. He did have a voice but no sound, he wanted to talk to her, to tell her, but he couldn’t. Frozen in his speech in horror, looking at her then looking back at the horror, the stain of Yukito’s tears drenched his shirt along with the wet blood that stained her shirt. He looked more at both of them, flashbacking really quickly at the two scenes almost like a decision between the two. His mind raced between the two, wondering what path should he take, wondering what he should do. What was right, what was the best, what was good. His mind flashbacked, still framing each moment in rapid sections, snapping each moment like a camera shot closing his eyes to comprehend…-
“Sorry…sorry for what?”
-Yukito stopped crying and looked up at him as his faced and expression changed. He looked at the scene not looking back at her. His smile was replaced with the smirk that he had used on his mother and continued to talk…-
“There’s no need for that word. That b**** had this coming to her…for a long time now…she deserved it…I’m glad she is dead.”
“What are you saying Sota!? That’s your mother Sota! You love her!”
“Love…love!”
-Yukito was taken aback by this. She stepped back a little watching and listening to Sota in horror as he continued to talk…-
“Love is just an emotion that every human has…if love was real…why has everyone around me died!?”
“Sota…I’m still…here…”
“Are you…are you really here? Do you really love me? Or are you just saying that…because it’s what all humans do?”
“I love you…Sota…I really…really do…why…why are you acting…like this…Sota!? Why?”
-Yukito is ready to cry as she looked at the changed Sota in front of her. This wasn’t her Sota, this wasn’t her Sota at all. There was nothing left, of the man she loved.-
“Come here Yukito…”
-Motioning her to come to him. She hesitated and didn’t come at first. Sota walked up to her and slapped her, hard and fast. She didn’t see it coming as she looked at him, holding her face as it turned red and bruised looking at him with fear as he looked at her smirking saying…-
“When I tell you to come…you come…got it…”
-She could only stand there frozen and nod with a tear going down her face, in defeat and sadness. Saying to herself…-
“What…what happened to the Sota…I know…the Sota…I loved…”
“The Sota you knew is dead…just like that b**** slain on the bed before you…”
-His tone and expression was that if he grew another side. A seed, planted deep in his soul, feeding and fertilizing off all his anger, hate, jealousy, and fear. The scene, the crime scene of his mother was the strength enough, for the plant to become in full bloom. The beauty of its thorns pricked and scratched Yukito’s mind and tore her mind to a whole new world. A world, she did not want to see, her love, her shining knight in the story, now, mad. She shivered as he grabbed her wrist and took her out of the room, her struggling only antagonizing him more…-
“C’mon Yukito love…let’s leave this filth in the garbage…”
“Sota…you’re…hurt…”
“Shut up b****! (slaps) What have I told you about speaking to me!?”
“……”
-Sota looks at her…-
“Well!?”
“……”
“I see how it is…”
-Smirking as he pushed her out of his mom’s room taking one good last look at the morgue. His cold hand was holding on the doorknob as he conveyed the scenery smirking blowing a kiss to his dead mother as he said…-
“Sweet dreams…mommy dear…”
-Closing the door behind him. Looking back at her…-
“No one…and I mean no one! Goes back in that room…understand!?”
-Looking at Yukito with rage and anger in his eyes. Yukito stood there and just nodded sad and standing there, not knowing what to do about her current situation. Just staring at her once beloved Sota, now, dead himself. He goes into his room again and goes right to his desk without paying attention to any other object in his room, picking up to his picture frame and smirks…-
“You…you brought on all of this…didn’t you…well…you want to play…I still don’t believe in you…so…let’s…test…again…shall we?”
-Taking out another piece of paper and scribbling down fast for a good hour three girls, scantily clad all wearing nothing but their bra and panties. Smiling and cheering as only a guy fantasy would be…-
“Sota…what are you…”
“What have I told you about talking Yukito!?”
“……”
“That’s right now sit down!”
-Pointing to his bed motioning her to sit down and wait as he drew more. Yukito stood there for a second, not knowing what to do. Her mind raced with images of Sota who once was there. The Sota holding her hand, the Sota that she laughed with, Sota, her perfect man now shattered to the broken mirror that kept his image alive. The broken man, that had smiled, now was destroyed. The wood that had burned his love for her, now kindled to ashes and smoke. He sat there, drawing, drawing, and drawing more. She eventually took his words and took a seat at the edge of his bed and waited like a good girl that she was. There she sat, waiting what seemed centuries in the future, watching and waiting as Sota continued his masterpiece of art that he had so dedicated himself to now. She didn’t like this, she didn’t like this at all, or one bit. She stood there almost like she wasn’t on his mind anymore, she was cast aside, garbage, just like his dead locked up mother at the end of the hall. She sat there and reminisces of the days with Sota, all the pain, love, misery, happiness they had shared over the times they were together. Those were the happiest days of her life. Regardless if the bad times were a horrible to go through, she still loved to be near him, there for him, every step of the way. She enjoyed every hug, every kiss, every problem, she enjoyed it all. To her, that was just getting to know her love more. She enjoyed the long haul and would do it over and over again for that same story again.-
“It’s done!”
-Proud of himself, he immediately took the back of it, took the blank piece of paper out of it and stuck it in with the new paper. Placing the backing of it then turning around and showing Yukito. The picture of three girls, in their bra and panties, with curvy busts and thighs smirking more in a grin as he said to her…-
“This frame wants to play…I’ll play…I’m game. What about you Yukito? Are you…game…to play?”
-She looks at the other women, on the paper, looking back at him, smirking looking back at the women not saying a word. That displeased him so, his smirked down into a frown as he turned around and placed the picture frame right back on the desk, in the same place it was in when he picked up. Positioning it perfectly as if he moved it a slight off, it wouldn’t work. Looking at it from all angles as he got up and stared at it, staring it at all its glory perfection…-
“Ah…perfect…now…the test…”
-Quickly getting in bed pulling himself underneath the covers as Yukito looked at him strangely wondering what he was doing. It was certainly not at all time to go to bed, let alone take a nap. She watched him get in bed and asked…-
“Um…Sota…”
“Shut up…get in bed with me…”
-Wanting to say no, but she knew that would only get him madder at her. She didn’t want to get slapped anymore, so, she crawled in bed with him and put herself under the covers on the side of him looking at him grim smug face looking back…-
“Now…go to sleep…love…we have to wake up for our new friends…that will be joining us…”
-Closing his eyes falling asleep, taking a nap. Yukito looked on and copied him, not really wanting to go to sleep but did as she was told and fell asleep next to him. Closing her eyes into the safety of her dreams.-
“Wake up…love…wake up…”
-Feeling her body shake, tired from the over excess of sleep of even a nap. Not wanting to wake up…-
“Yukito…wake up sweetie…”
-Hearing Sota’s voice and seeing the slap if she didn’t slowly opened her eyes gently and looked up at him. His gaze stared back at her and said to her…-
“Good…you’re awake…and look at what I have for you…”
-Showing her the ladies all over his arms. Smirking as he laughed a little looking at her…-
“These are your new friends Yukito…these…will be…our new…family…from now on…"
