Cathaoir

I hadn't actually realized there would be a few people who could translate Irish Gaelic.  The first time I actually met somebody who was confused why I was calling myself "chair" was 3 years ago while playing Anarchy Online.  He explained that Cathaoir = chair in Irish. 

 

I had found the name while studying Irish Gaelic and was looking for unique Irish or Scottish names.  All of my children have names with Irish, Scottish  or Welsh origins.  We had decided to cross names off the common list & go with more unique or traditional names. 


First name CATHAOIR's origins are Celtic and Irish. CATHAOIR means "fighter" (Celtic) and "warrior" in Irish.
