"Mmmmm.... it's so cold, why?" The stones underneath me are damp and have green stuff growing on them, "did I fall out of bed?"

"Morning, Sunshine," A pleasant and slightly sarcastic male voice calls out.

"Basil? How did you get in my room?"

"Open your eyes liebling."

"They are open," wait, no they aren't...

The swirling pattern dissapeared, and was replaced with a bright light. Fire? No, much to bright what is it?

Like a moth she crawled towards the light. A tiny sun!

"What sorcery is this?" She asks in an awed voice for the light is something she has never seen before.

A single uncovered light bulb glows.

How naive is Viktoria? A blonde girl learns against the moldy wall, her green eyes shine in the light.

"Dawn, be nice. She just woke up," that voice, the sweet male one.

"What a lump."

"Excuse me?" confusion coloring his face. The light shining, shining on the face of an angel. Was the girl any less perfect?

"Modern expression, why haven't you gone up to see for yourself?" Even in the filth that was this place, the girl and boy were perfect compliments of each other. His dark hair and eyes, her light blonde hair and stunning green eyes. The third? What was she doing? Crawling around on the ground, reaching for the light bulb that hung above her head.

"Oi! Vikki, snap out of it!" the blonde one yells as Viktoria falls over.

"She's weak, we need to go up."

 Basil, yes that was his name.

His coat looks warm, what am I doing? Why am I on the floor? My clothes, they're rotting! Am I being comsumed by mold?

Basil walks over. How could this have happened to her? She was the strongest, she protected us all. Gently he lifts her up.

"Liebling, are you cold?"

As if in answer she shivers.  He sets Viktoria down and removes his long overcoat.

"Danke"

A whisper, no more than the faint swish of grass.

"We really need to go up, I'm hungry and you must be too." Dawn impatiently tosses her hair.

"A minuet, if you please," Basil says, ever polite.

"No, I don't please. I am hungry now!"

"It's still light outside, and you know that Viktoria is very weak."

Why are they talking about me like I am not here? I can see their faces, I can feel the soft weave of the cloak, I can also feel the burning. The back of my throat, the tips of my fingers. I know what I need.
