So she just left...how could she don't something like that to us. She's part of our group too. She can't just leave. Where will she go? I don't know if Bleu can live without her even if she doesn't come back. Our deaths might continue now. Rose brought it on herself if it does happen. I don't know how it will all work out though, because the way Bleu dies was kicked off course when Yoshi and Leon died back at Blackworks Academy. Maybe that was our actual key to survival. The fact that they died. Why am I even thinking about this? Aren't I just going backwards when I should be going forwards? The world is so confusing and I fear if we ever figure it out, that'll be the day we perish.
Zero
Bleu locked herself in the room Rose had left her in. She hadn't been out of it in three weeks. Zero and Pero had been pushed out and locked away from her. They would leave food for her outside the door and pick it up hours later after she was done. The boys dyed their hair again. They worked in town at a small cafe. They didn't have to, because every week money would be delivered to them from an unknown source.
Their lives had fallen into a depressing routine of working, eating, and sleeping. Pero and Zero slept in different rooms on different floors and avoided touching one another at all costs. They didn't know why they had stopped being intimate, but they had a hunch it had something to do with feeling bad for Bleu.
She couldn't see them, but she knew that they had grown apart. She could feel it. The whole house was sectioned off. Everyone had their own floor. The boys ate together and sometimes walked down the beach, but that was all they did with each other. They hardly every talked anymore. When they were working they did different jobs. Zero was a baker in the back and Pero a server in the front. Someone in between moved things between the two so they hardly saw each other at the cafe either.
Everyday they wished that Rose would walk back through that door and everything would be okay with the world. It wasn't going to happen though, they knew it wasn't. She hadn't only said good-bye to them, but to her father as well. She'd really wanted to disappear. Something in Zero's heart told him that he'd never see her again, but Pero felt differently. When they discussed that, an ominous feel fell over the house.
On a night when everything was going the same as it had for months at a time, Zero went upstairs to set Bleu's food by her door. When he finally reached the top floor of the house, he dropped the food he was carrying. The door to Bleu's room was open. He ran to it and was just in time to watch her stand up in front of her open window. She put a foot out and Zero yelled.
Bleu turned around on the window seat she stood on. She gave Zero a sad smile and tilted backwards. Zero crossed the room and in one motion launched himself onto the seat and pushed her back in the window. What he wasn't expecting was him calves to hit the windowsill and to be thrown off balance. Before he even knew what was going on, he saw the sky above him and felt the air around him.
“Zero!” He heard a scream from above him.
It was Bleu, she had screamed him name before he felt his head then body hit the ground. Pain took over him and he could feel a hot liquid seeping out from under his head. It's warmth was lulling him to sleep. He willingly fell into darkness, hoping to wake up and find everything back to normal at the Academy. He hoped the last months had all been a nightmare, even though he knew it wasn't true, he hoped.
Pero didn't know what had happened. He heard glass hit the floor and them moments later Bleu scream. He took the stairs as fast as he could, racing to the top floor. He saw the soup Zero had cooked slipped on the floor next to a broken bowl. He saw light streaming into the hallway from Bleu's room and dashed to it. Bleu was on the floor crying. He grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her to her feet.
“Bleu, where's Zero?” Pero asked in a quiet voice.
“I didn't mean to! I just couldn't stand living without her anymore! I didn't know this would happen!” Bleu sobbed.
“What happened, Bleu? Where's Zero?” Pero asked again raising his voice slightly.
Bleu couldn't say it. She just pointed to the window behind Pero. He let her drop to the floor again and ran to the window. He looked out and down to the ground. He put a hand to his mouth and fell backwards landing next to Bleu. He wouldn't cry, but he feared he wouldn't be able to do much else either.
“I didn't and wouldn't live without her! I didn't know it was dinner time! I didn't know he'd be here and by the time he reached me, I had already started falling. Then I felt my body fly the other way and saw him go instead. I didn't mean to! I didn't! I don't want this! I want to take it back! Goddess forgive me! Give them back to me!” Bleu was going into hysterics now.
Pero turned to stare at her, “Give them back to you? You selfish b****! You just took away the only thing that gave my life meaning and all you can think about it yourself? If you want her do bad then find her! We tried to fix you, we tried to make it better, to pull you out of the dead state you were in and this is how you repay!” Pero bellowed, his anger flowing out into his words.
“I'm sorry! I'm sorry!”
“All you can say! You know what? Lets go. We're going to find Rose and then you can feel the pain of guilt for the rest of your life because I helped you find your love when you killed mine!”
Pero stood and grabbed Bleu by the arm dragging her across the floor and down the hall through the soup and glass, down the stairs and through the rest of the house. She cried and kicked and screamed but knew she'd had it coming. It was her fault.
Pero threw clothes at her eventually and then left to change himself, “We're leaving in the morning and you are going to stay right here in this room for the rest of the night. And if you move I can't be accountable for my actions.”
That was final. Bleu wasn't going to disobey. She'd awaken Pero's beast side. She felt grateful though, because she was going to find Rose. When Pero said it, she could feel it. No matter how long it took, they'd find her. And Bleu would feel the guilt worse than it was now. She would feel it for the rest of her life.
Yeah, I know you probably all hate me for that right? Well the series isn't coming to an end yet. My girlfriend cried when she was reading the story. She read YMMB and then NN and she cried I think a total of 6 times. Please don't kill me in my sleep guys. POP AND COMMENT!!!
