Punks are nothing like emos or goths. Punks are the ones who basically pierce their own ears and don't wash and get into a lot of fights. There is definitely a fine line between emo and goth, but punk?

there is in fact a difference. as i can best discribe it: goth is more black makeup and clothes, sometimes fancy. emo is kinda more Harry Potter, as I've heard it described. But it actually is shorthand for emotional. So also those who are really struggling with how they are feeling. punk is more heavy metal music and sakteboarding combined. and i disagree with moontears. that's too stereotypical. not all emos cut themselves and are suicidal. that's way stereotypical. and not all goths are into heavymetal. most of my friends are goth or emo. and believe me, not one is suicidal. so i really resent that.

i agree with what XXMOONTEARSXX said. people that don't know the difference will call someone who likes rock music any of them. personally i would say im an emo. i'd say that punks are more loud and like to wear more chains and the whole colourful hair thing. and then emos get too emotional about things like they're totally unstable. then goths normally wear a lot of black and love hardcore rock and stuff. so yeah i dont normally stereotype but those probably are the stereotypical versions of the three.. lol wow that's a lotta typing there ....

people think there all the same because they all have something to do with rock. but the difference is that goths are dark and metalheads. punks are loud and rebbellious.and emo's are the suidide cutters etc... thats what i think at least. but i dont like to base people n sterotypes =/
