Quirino caught her and picked her up, and ran towards the well. Oxxi didn't know what was happening, she was totally numb from the coldness of Quirino. All she saw for a few minutes was a lot of green, and then something on her hand felt warm, and she saw a small light in the distance.
Quirino let go of her right beside the well, and then Oxxi was going blind from a flashlight. Sean and Jake were both leaning over her. First Jake spoke. "Dude, Oxxi, what's up?? You've gone all day, and then we asked everybody in town if they'd seen you and they said no!!"
Sean kind of pushed Jake out of the way. "You can't tell me that you've been here in the woods all day!! That would be totally weird! And somewhat cool!!!"
Oxxi tried to stand up, but she was still numb from Quirino, and she hurt her leg when she fell onto him. Sean and Jake noticed at the same time. "Man Oxxi, what've you been into? Seems something happened to you in these old woods."
"Yeah, you're all bruised up, and seems you sprained your ankle or something." The two of the twins looked at each other, and seemed like they were talking to each other in there heads or something, and then Jake picked Oxxi up, and jumped when he felt how cold she was.
"Jake, you don't need to carry me!! I know how to walk!! You know I don't like to feel lazy!! Please Jake, put me down??"
"Come on Oxxi, you're all broken down. Take a break of being all might and strong."
He sighed and then shivered. "You're freezing! What'd you do jump into a lake or something?"
"I'm not all mighty and strong...Am I?" She looked up into the sky, smelling Jake's clone with a mix of the Summer smell of the corn field.
Sean interrupted. "Yes, you are Oxxi! And I don't think anyone would even think about doubting it!" He grinned. "Unless they had some of your cooking of course! Everyone strong and mighty need to know how to cook, or even get cereal ready!"
They got home a few minutes after that, and there parents ran up to them right away. "Oh my god! Oxxi, what happened! You skipped breakfast, lunch, and supper! And then you come home, all bruised up and your brother is carrying you?"
"Nothing happened Mum, I just took a long walk in the woods! And...the reason he's carrying me is because he won't put me down!"
"The truth is, she got lost in the woods, fell into a few holes, and was freezing when we found her by an old tree trunk in the woods."
Jake butted in. "All that, and we think she sprained her ankle when she fell into a hole."
There father sighed and told them to take her up to her room. And when they opened her bedroom door, they saw that Oxxi's room was trashed, had foot-prints all over the place, and while they all stood there in shock of the state of her room, they heard someone, or something breathing...
