While Ion is recovering from his terrible burn from the sun, we rejoin Esther and Abel. Esther's prepared to prove to Abel that no matter what she'll always trust him, even if he becomes a monster. In the end, the fate of the world=and mainly Carthage!-rests in Esther's hands! And now we return to Tres and the Professer, which the latter has just finished fixing Tres' once ruined vision*and even adding lazer beams too hehe...*As Radu feels he is finally at peace, the angel of hell unfortunatly returns to him.
The group is finally on their was to the empire and once again, Abel has fallen ill to the sea. While he runs off*to puke offscreen probably*Ion is about to reveal his feelings to Esther until----a seaweed monter latches onto his wrist?! This sea monster in the end turns out to be another officer from the vatican: blonde, "statuesque", and mysterious Hugue de Watteau. Upon his arrival, a vampire-driven pirate ship, having some sort of connection with the mermaid beauty back in book 2, has come to I guess take whatever humas they can to collect their blood(It wasn't entirely clear to me their intention). They've got Abel and Esther, but could this turn out to be okay? Now, we finally see the full fighting capacity of Ion(it's actually quite impressive for a small body really!)as Hugue fight along with him.
Now we switch over to the empire. Astaroshe Asran is remeinded about working with a man from the Vatican a while back-a cartain pumpkinhead man-and is informed that a messenger should be coming soon. Now is the time for Ion to tell Esther, while entering the beautiful Tzara Methuselute. But upon parting the ship to remeet with his lady Grandmother, he finds a disturbing scene and in the end the blame somehow gets turned on him! Now, we turn back to Asta, who has just arrived back from a mission of some sort, but she's spotted some unexpected intruders---who just happen to be Abel and co. and she seems angered by her memories of when she had to work with said pumpkinhead.
Esther, taking a moment to relax, ends up having a talk with Asta about various things liek her birthmark, the empire, and a tiny bit about having to deal with Abel. Ion, still upset about the situation at hand ends up getting chewed out by Asta in the end for his behavior.
So sorry that my review doesn't flow as smoothly this time from subject to subject as it may have other times. I just wanted to pick main points and you know how manga goes, switching to several scenes in a matter of a chapter or so.
Extras in this volume include...
It should be pointed out that this volume of Trinity blood has some slight female nudity in the final chapter. I just figured i'd put it so that no one ended up surprised!
This volume had me feeling much better after last volume's slight dissapointment. I adore Kiyo Kyujyo's art more and more each volume, though. It totally makes me gush!
