neonlexicon gave a good hint what do with my style. I was complaining in my other post about how much my stuff looks really manga-fied. So here's the next page of MT, I'm drawing Katie a bit different. My scanner made the image really light but you can still see it. I got out my Non-Photo Blue pencil and used it. It's really doesn't show up! Even in color mode so this rocks. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with drawing this comic.. I guess there's hopes that one day it might actually get published but I have horrible writing (and it's A LOT of work to create a full comic). I would have to redo a lot of the beginning pages *laughs* Yet, I do enjoy making every page, it's fun to draw and it's neat to see that some people are interested in it.

OEL came to my mind while working on this page. It stands for Original English Manga. Sometimes I think anything that is published in English that is written by a person not from Japan, their published work should be labeled a graphic novel or comic. Not manga! Then again, OEL helps distinguish the books that are made from people who want to draw in "manga" style. A big pet peeve of mine is seeing webcomics and work created to read in "right-to-left" format, which is the Japanese manga. But the person is American so it just seems so wrong to do that.  I noticed a few Marvel comics look more "manga"-ish too, so all these styles are melting together.. AHHHHH!!!! Well it's not a bad thing, some of the Marvel stuff looks cool.  I catch myself staying far away from any of the OEL Tokyopop books.. I used to be really into them but I dunno, it's just seems stale because everything seems to look the same.  There were a few that I liked that was in the first Rising Stars Manga, but none of them really got continued. *LOL* I should participate XD  Hmmmmm, I feel like I'm contradicting myself because I think there should be a Comiket over here for people to make their own comics....but you don't go through a big publisher, you self publish because it's fun XD
