konnichiwa tokyo! chapter #4
The next morning Aaya couldn’t wait to call her dad. She was dialing the numbers so fast that she got it wrong a few times. Aaya waited for a few minutes until someone answered.
“Konnichiwa, this is Mr. Masaya, how may I help you?” Asked a man’s voice.
“Dad?” asked Aaya.
“Aaya, how are you?” asked Mr. Masaya.
“I’m fine, sorry to call you if you’re busy, but this is an emergency,” said Aaya.
“Is everything okay?”
“Everything is not fine, you see, I wanted to come to Tokyo for the summer but mom said maybe. But I want to go badly. I don’t want to spend three months at home, it’s boring. Please tell me you’ll help,” Aaya told her dad quickly.
“Okay, calm down Aaya. Take a deep breath. You said you wanted to come to Tokyo, that’s great. Akio will be happy to see you again,” said Mr. Masaya.
“But mom said she won’t pay for that kind of money,” Aaya said desperately.
“Don’t worry, I’ll pay for it,” her dad answered.
“Really, dad?”
“Of course, beside that is no way to ruin your summer. Well I have to go now,” her dad called out.
“Sure, thanks dad. Bye”
Aaya couldn’t be happier.
