“Fujita-san!, Fujita-san were home!” Tae said as she and Dai came through the front door.
Dai removed his shoes quickly and glided into the kitchen.
“Onigiri for snack!” he shouted to Tae, gleefully.
“Kay!” said Tae, “I’ll come eat with you in a moment I just want to change out of this silly school uniform.”
Tae bolted up the stairs and into her room. It was a small room with faded yellow wall to match the faded yellow bedspread. In one corner sat a tiny lonesome desk and papers were stacked on top in a neat pile. There was also a tiny trunk and a window with a bench at the bottom of it.
Tae opened the trunk and grabbed from it a deep green dress with a white apron. She changed quickly and folded her school clothes. She put the gently on top of the bench and headed down into the kitchen.
“I’m ready for onigiri now,” Tae said as she sat down in one of the wooden chairs around the table.
Fujita was at the counter making tea. Dai was already at the table halfway through his onigiri. After the tea was done, Fujita poured it into three cups and took a seat at the table.
“So Fujita-san, what did you do today while we were at school?” asked Tae innocently.
“Some cleaning and shopping for groceries,” he replied.
“I see,” said Tae quietly.
“All done!” exclaimed Dai just has he finished up his onigiri, “I’m going upstairs to change out of my uniform now too!”
As soon as Dai was out of vision Tae said, “So Fujita, why were you in Wearington Park this afternoon?”
Fujita looked surprised to hear this but didn’t loose his cool.
“I was just taking a stroll through the park as I was coming home from the grocery shopping,” he lied.
“Then how, may I ask, do you know Ailin-chan?”
“Tae, I have some explaining to do….”
“Yes you do!” said Tae rather firmly.
Fujita took a small sip of tea and sighed. He closed his eyes for a moment as if guessing where to start telling his story. It must’ve been hard to decide where to start because they sat in silence for five minutes.
“As you know Tae, there are five elements in our way of life,” Fujita said calmly.
“Yes,” replied Tae, “Chi, sui, ka, fu and ku.”
“Very good,” said Fujita, “and they are said, like ying and yang to bring balance to the world.”
Tae nodded. These were things she alreay knew.
“Well, Tae-kun these elements are not just balancing forces, but forces that act in people too,” Fujita said as he took another sip of tea.
“How so?” inquired Tae.
“The elements can grant there power to people. Each element grants a differet person of each generation it’s power. Usually if one person from a familiy has been granted power from an element, that element will grant the families next generations to come its power too,” exclaimed Fujita, “However this is not always the case.”
“I still don’t quite understand what this has to do with….”
“Your mother inhereted the power of the element ku or as some have come to know it…void,” Fujita said calmly,”And like I said it can be passed down from generations, so that means that you now have ku’s awesome power.”
Tae thought this over. That’s what her mother meant by next generation! Tae now had the power that her mother had! Tae was now deeply troubled. She had no idea how to use this ‘awesome power’. How would she ever learn, unless…
“Fujita-san, what about that girl, from the park today?” asked Tae.
“Ailin-kun?” Fujita said.
“Yes, her. Was her mother granted power from the elements?”
“No,” said Fujita firmly, “But she greatly deserves the power that had been granted to her. She has endured many hardships and I understand why sui would pick her to be its desendant.”
“How did she learn how to use her powers then?” asked Tae
Fujita smirked.
“Well I taught her of course,” replied Fujita, “Just as I will teach you about your powers.”
“Really?” Tae asked stunned.
“Most certainly.”
Tae sat, stationary on her chair. She had so many things she still wanted to ask. But what to ask first?
“So other than Ailin and I there would still be three others that have inhereted power from elements?”
“Yes,” replied Fujita, “Ailin has the power of water, and you have the power of void. There is still earth, fire and wind. Three more sons or daughters of elements.”
“Is there only one son or daughter for each element?” asked Tae.
“Yes…” Fujita relpied hesitantly, “Why do you ask?”
This dosen’t make sense Tae thought. All through the conversation she had imagined that her and her brother Dai were in the same boat, they both possesed the power of ku. But now, how did Dai fit into all of this?
“Dai-kun…mother said for ku to protect us both. Why would she say that about Dai-kun if he did not posses the power as well?” Tae said quietly.
“Dai-kun is a special case,” said Fujita, “No, he does not posses the power of ku but he does fit in somewhere. You remember that battle you mother had with that man? That man is very bad. His name is Rosu, Vixin and he is completely terrible. He is after the power of the five elements and has, well had the ability to capture then with that tiny blue ball whenever one was being used. However that ball is now gone thanks to your brother. When he was baby he swallowed it just the day after your mother had died. I think Vixin must have dropped it. Anyway, with all the commotion of your mother dying no one noticed. I did, after it had happened of course, but by then there was nothing I could do about it. Vixin wants that ball back and will do anything for it. Even if it means to kill you brother. The reason your mother said that was because I think she forsaw this happening. She said that because she wants YOU to protect HIM. Do you understand?”
Woah. This was a lot to be taking in with such short notice. Now Dai-kuns life was in terrible danger and Tae was left protecting him by herself.
“I-is there a-any poss-sible way-y that we could-d get the b-ball out of him?” asked Tae as she shook with fear for her brother.
“Not that we can do, but there is someone who might. She lives in a different time but there is a way to get there. After all the elements exsisted way back when,” Fujita laughed at this, “You must go there after you have met all the other elements and get her to destroy the ball exsisting in your brother. Vixin and his henchmen will do whatever they can to try and stop you, but you must not forget your goal, remember the life of your brother depends on you.”
This was a lot to ask for from Tae. But she was determind to set things write again. She was ready to avenge her mother.
“I’m ready for whatever comes my way,” Tae said confidently as she stood up from the table.
“Good,” said Fujita, “A lot will come your way.”
Tae felt adrenaline running through her vains. This was a start of a great adventure. She could hardly wait for what would come next.

Revangance, I would want that too. How does some one swallow a ball? Wait how big is the ball? It's good!
