“Due to the severe illness of Lina Keller you will all go home and return tomorrow,” announced Ms. Kirkland. She sounded very afraid for she or anyone else did not know what had happened to Lina. The students needed to be at home so that the police could investigate the classroom and the school grounds completely.

Ms. Kirkland is the principal of Asimov Academy. The faithful date is October 31, yes Halloween, people dress up and have parties to celebrate. The Kellers Lina, Mina, Katrina, Tina, and Sabrina, are sisters…well sort of…they are best friends, that were adopted by the same kind lady and live together. There is one friend they have in common that does not live with them, Kurt.

Lina lay on the floor in the middle of the hallway, her brown hair lay under her like a pillow. Her green eyes were closed, but seemed to be twitching with the slightest hint that she may wake. Lina’s bags and books remained dropped on the floor as if they were not meant to be held, which was very unlike Lina. She usually got very angry if anyone even wrinkled one of her precious pages.

Mina rushed quickly around the corner almost falling over Kurt, whose spiky brown hair looked quite similar to her own black locks. Mina’s icy blue eyes were burning a whole into the floor as she collected her sister’s books off the floor. Mina knew she had to cancel her volunteer spots for the day. Again Lina’s books dropped to the floor at the sound of Katrina and Sabrina marching down the hall. It seemed as if Katrina just ran ten miles to get there, but then again she just may have, she was after all on the track team. Only once Kurt looked up to see Katrina and Sabrina strut in did he notice that Tina had been sitting there for sometime. How long he was not sure, but he did see that her gray eyes were cloudier than normal. She had probably been hit the worst with the tragedy.

The story will continue, but first how the day started.  Katrina and Mina were in the bathroom fighting over the mirror to do their hair, Sabrina unconcerned since she has thousands of mirrors in her room. Tina was outside watering her plants. All her sisters were all busy so Lina had to answer at the door no doubt who it was Kurt always arrived at 7:45a.m. to warn the girls that they had to hurry to school.

“Hey, anything new happen last night that would interest me at the moment?” asked Lina to Kurt as he walked in the door and started towards the kitchen.

“Not really mostly did homework and called Madison…” he trailed off thinking about his crush whom the girls hated she was the most popular girl who tried to show them up all the time which Kurt never seemed to noticed. She was the teacher’s pet, snobby girl, made fun of people. The girls did not find her compatible for Kurt at all but he did.

“Madison?” said Lina scorned.

“Er…where are the bananas?” said Kurt trying to change the subject. Lina picked up a banana off the table and threw it at Kurt.

“Typical guy…” she mumbled under her breath and walked upstairs to finish getting herself ready.

“Lina…don’t…” Kurt begged but it was too late, Lina was already upstairs locked in her room. More like slammed her door before he had the chance to explain.

“Hey, honey!” hummed Mina she was came down the stairs greeting Kurt.

“Uh…hey Mina, how are you?” Kurt sat at the table with a banana and a glass of orange juice. Mina graded a bowl and started pouring a bowl of cereal.

“Well I’m going to Golden Age tonight after school so I might be a little late for dinner…” she kept talking but Kurt shut her out he needed to think over his conversation with Madison and Lina.

“Do you guys realize what time it is,” screamed Tina as she ran down the stairs and made her way to the door, “you guys are always making me late.” After making her way back into the house when she realized that she forgot her vegetarian and animal safe lunch in the fridge. As she entered the kitchen she saw Kurt sitting at the table in a daze eating a banana while Mina sat there talking non-stop. “Where’s Lina, Kurt, did you piss off Lina again?”

“Huh?” said Kurt as he jumped out of his trance. “Oh, uh, yeah kind of. She’s up stairs in her room, she won’t come out.”
“Typical,” muttered Tina as she rolled her eyes, she made her way to the bottom of the stairs and screamed, “Lina you better get over your self right now, if you make me late one more time I swear I’ll—”

“Fine I’m coming,” Lina said as she ran down out her door and down the stairs. Lina walked out of her room and towards the bathroom.

“Let’s go Kat, Tina’s getting upset again,” Lina said to Katrina as she was still fussing about with her hair.
“Yeah, whatever, I’m coming,” Katrina finished her hair and got her bag and went downstairs. Lina then walked over to Sabrina’s wildly decorated door and screamed over her loud music so that she would be heard.

“We’re leaving now and we’ll leave you here alone if you don’t come now!” the music stopped, the door opened, and Sabrina’s head popped out.

“Fine, miss fussy,” complained Sabrina as she walked out of her room, grabbed her bag and walked down stairs. Lina followed. They walked out the door Sabrina and Tina in the lead, Tina lecturing Sabrina about her loud music in the morning. Mina and Katrina came next, Mina telling Katrina that she needs to get in her community service hours for high school and should start right away. Lastly came Lina and Kurt following closely behind begging her to forgive him whatever he had done.
