How ironic that the fate of the Internet, and the world, should fall on the shoulders of Yui - a technophobe of the first order. When the sentient computer virus, Grosser, infects the global network Com-Net, Yui is transported into cyberspace to combat his evil plans. Only by assembling the eight missing pieces of the corrector program can Yui make the Net safe once more. A dangerous quest, fabulous costumes, a cute sidekick ... Yui's superhero dreams are about to come true where she least expected it!

Yui
Yui is no ordinary teen. The daughter of a computer programmer, the overly-energetic Yui can't stand her laptop and has an eccentric fashion sense, to say the least. But she yearns to be a super hero, and whether she is wearing bunny ears or fairy wings, she still manages to frustrate Grosser's plans - with the help of her friends, the corrector robots I.R, Antei, and Eco.

IR
Yui's companion in the cyberworld, I.R, recruits her to help him find the other seven corrector robots like himself so they can debug Cyberspace of Grosser. A floating bot with hands, he is still not nearly as flighty as Yui and struggles constantly to keep her mind on their mission and off of her flamboyant costumes.

Haruna
Haruna is Yui's best friend in the real world, but she marvels at -and is sometimes embarrassed by - Yui's intense desire to be a super hero. Yet while Yui believes Haruna knows nothing of her secret identity, she finds that sometimes the best friends carry the darkest secrets.

Keiko Okamoto
Okamoto picked up the reins of Corrector Yui from creator Kia Asamiya, taking it deeper into the realm of shojo manga. The genre is familiar to Okamoto, as she worked on the series, Cute Beat Oshare Club!, which was first published in the manga anthology Nakayoshi - the original home of Sailor Moon. She was also the writer and illustrator for the manga, Yuzu. TOKYOPOP's release of Corrector Yui is her first publication in the United States.

Kia Asamiya
Asamiya is the world-renowned creator of Silent Moebius, Dark Angel, and Steam Detectives, among many others. He also collaborated directly with George Lucas in adapting Star Wars: The Phantom Menace to manga and is now working for the first time in color on his first American Publication, Dark Angel: Phoenix Resurrection for Image Comics.
