Cowboy Bebop: Shooting Star is an alternate telling of the famous television show that contains all the same intrigue, adventure, action and gritty noir ambience of it's screen counterpart. A fantastic yarn in its own right, this two-volume series is a perfect addendum to any Cowboy Bebop collection. The three volume follow-up manga series to the Cowboy Bebop TV show is also available from TOKYOPOP. Kai Lucas hires the Bebop crew to find his mischievous doppelganger, but the bounty goes bust and Spike and Jet once again find themselves broke - and hungry. And to add to their woes, Spike ends up mysteriously on the police's most wanted list, either the butt of a joke or the victim of a severe computer glitch. But what's worse, being targeted by every bounty hunter in the solar system, or taking on a kid-genius, a genius puppy and a genus: fatale, species: femme as part of the crew. Well, if Scorpion or the Dragon Head Family doesn't kill them, the extra mouths to feed certainly will.

Spike Spiegel
Spike is a down-on-his-luck bounty hunter with a heart of gold. He does not like to talk about his past and he worships Bruce Lee.

Jet Black
Jet was a member of the Inter Solar Systems Police. After an injury that left him with cybernetic implants, and maybe for other mysterious reasons, too, he left the ISSP and teamed up with Spike. His ship is called the Hammerhead.

Faye Valentine
Faye Valentine is a partner/rival to Spike and Jet. She is very egotistical and likes to gamble. Her ship is called Red Tail.

Ed
Ed is a partner of Spike's and Jet's. She is a hacker wonderkid.
