My breathing is uneven
My heart is beating way to fast
And yet
I feel calm
Why am I so warm?
Its winter
I am outside
My head is in a daze
I cannot even remember my own name
Nothing makes sense
I have a horrid pain
I do not feel it
I only know it is there
What is wrong with me?
The sky is getting brighter
I close my eyes
And listened
I hear voices
Of ones I love
However, one sticks out
Above the rest
I answer it call
By calling out the name
Of it speaker
“David”?
A cold hand
Touches my face
And I smile
I finally understand
With his touch
My mind is clear
And I know
I am dying
But I do not care
Cause he is here
But his voice
It is pained
Why are there tears
In his eye
Is he not happy?
That I am here
By his side
His voice cracks
As he tells me the truth
“You are with me, in heaven
But you should not be
Why did you take your own life?
When you had so much
To live for”
Reality hits me
As I remember every thing
The snow
The cliff
The blood
My pain
All of it comes back into focus
His hand slips off my face
And he says
“You will come back
When it is your time
Till then
Live life for all it is worth
Remember, I love you”
With that, he was gone
And the pain returned
Sharper than before
But so did the fact
That I had people that loved me
Those were alive
They all stood around me, crying
And so I lived and learned
That no matter what happens in your
Some one
On earth
Or in heaven
Is glad that you are alive
Living live for all that, it is worth
