Secret of the Blue Moon Gemstone

Prologue

"Miss Kurosu!" shouted a feminine voice. Yuki (Kurosu) opened her eyes, she glanced around to see where the voice had come from.

"I know that I heard... someone calling my name." Yuki thought. She attempted to sit up, but winded up lying back down on the ground. She felt dizzy, and sick.

"Miss Kurosu!" shouted the feminine voice again. Yuki looked to her right to find a slender, bright-green-haired female, dressed in a white uniform run to her side.

Yuki smiled.

"Hi Kiren-chan," Yuki said softly. "Where have you been?"

"Miss Kurosu, I've been looking for your for hours now! Where have you been! And--" Kiren started to say with a hint of worry in her tone of voice. She stopped suddenly though as her eyes grew wide. Yuki was bleeding from her left shoulder, and it didn't seem to be stopping. "Miss Kurosu! You're bleeding! What happened to you?"

Yuki reached to touch her shoulder with her right hand and saw what Kiren was making a fuss about. She was indeed bleeding from her left shoulder; quite a lot, actually.

She laughed.

"Miss Kurosu! We have to get you back to the Academy. It's not safe here!" Kiren shouted. Kiren pulled off her ribbon and tied Yuki's left shoulder as tightly as she could; turning the ribbon into a tourniquet.

"Kiren-chan," Yuki started to say. "How many times must I tell you that you can call me Yuki."

"I know that Miss Kurosu..." Kiren said, picking up Yuki in her arms. "I just... don't feel I have the right to do so. That's all."

Kiren, carrying Yuki in her arms, walked toward the direction of the Cross Academy. She had a stern look on her face.

"Kiren-chan why? Why are you always doing things for me like this?" Yuki asked, looking up at Kiren. Yuki saw that Kiren's eyes had changed into a deep crimson red color. "The color of blood", she thought to herself.

"I do these things for you because it's my job. And also," Kiren said, meanwhile changing pace from a walk to a sprint.

"I do these things for you because I care."

Yuki smiled. "She's like Zero, and Kaname." Yuki thought. "So much..." With that last thought, Yuki's eyes fell heavy as she passed out. Kiren glanced at Yuki, and picked up the pace again.

"I have to hurry, night will fall soon. I can only pray that Zero is alright," Kiren spoke.

Kiren's bright green hair then disappeared into the thick dark green of the forest.

Heading toward the gates of the Cross Academy.
