In the land to the north of the world of Thelania rests the beautiful city of Dukadine , home to the Dukadians. Here, these people live in solitude from the rest of the world after the Great War 200 years ago. They live on an island surrounded by mountain and are believed to be extinct to the rest of the world but they are really hidden behind a barrier that they created. The time they will reveal themselves the year known as the Destiny year. Every few centuries, chosen Dukadians are given the power of restoration, which manifests from elemental magic. The user is then called an Elementist. This power is great and sacred as it is only the Dukadians who can control all the primary elements that are fire, water, wind, earth, and lightning. Due to this, they have the power of world restoration. The year of Destiny approaches and the queen, Nirvana Val’ Tear, readies herself for the restoration of the world. Her daughter, Christina Val’ Tear, feels that she is not fit to use elemental magic and denies her position as princess of the Dukadines.

 

 

 

 

In the palace, Christina sits on the balcony thinking of how she can run away from her life and her position as princess. She also thinks that she should not leave her mom behind, as she does not want to hurt her in anyway. She thinks to herself as the sun sets in the sky…

 

 

 

Huh, why am I acting like this? …How can I leave my mom and dad? …I want to leave this place so badly! … I don’t wanna be queen or an elementist or anything! …I wanna be…normal…

 

 

 

“Hmmm…maybe I should …leave”

 

 

-Her mom, Nirvana, interrupts her and startles her-

 

 

“Hey sweetie. What are you out her mumbling about?”

 

 

“Umm, nothing mom… just lost in thought.”

 

 

“Oh, what were you thinking about?”

 

 

 

-Christina nervously smiles and shakes her head-

 

 

“Nothing important…nothing at all.”

 

 

-She continues to smile and then changes the subject-

 

 

“Wow, isn’t this sunset beautiful tonight?! I love coming up here-“

 

 

-Her mom interrupts again-

 

 

“Christina, I know your afraid of being queen of Dukadine… no one is forcing this position on you.”

 

 

-Christina locks her eyes on her startled to here the words she has spoken-

 

 

“No! It is my duty to this land to serve as ruler for you… and daddy… and all the-“

 

 

-Her mom embraces her with a hug and smiles at her-

 

 

“No. Your duty is to follow the road that you want to follow, not anyone else. I want you to make your own decisions and so does your dad surprisingly.”

 

 

-Christina smiles and embraces her mom for the support she gives to her-

 

 

I love you mom…you’re the best

 

 

 

“Well my daughter, I have to go to the Sacred Ruins to check out the barrier. I’ll be back”

 

 

“Can I come too? I like going to the ruins to check out the flowers and all that stuff! Its so beautiful there.”

 

 

-Her mom shakes her head-

 

 

“Not this time sweetie.

 

 

“ Why not!? I wanna come too! Please!!”

 

 

-Her mom changes the subject to draw her out of wanting to go-

 

 

“Hey! How about, we both go tomorrow. I’ll show you the Celsius gemstone that only appears every 100 years.”

 

 

-Christina realizes she lying-

 

 

“Ok mom, I’ll wait till tomorrow then.”

 

 

What is she hiding from me …she usually tells me everything

 

 

 

-Her mom leaves the balcony and goes inside there home and leaves through the front door. Christina waits for her to leave the village and decides to follow her-

 

 

 

Hmmm ...what’s so important about that barrier that she feels she needs to go alone

 

 

 -She then creeps off the balcony and follows her to a place known as the Sacred Ruins. The Elementist are the only people who can access this place. Once Christina gets in the cave there is a huge door with a seal and a special keyhole on a stone. Christina creeps while pressed against the wall so her mom does not notice her-

 

There has to be a reason why she’s coming here alone but why?

 

                                                                                 

 

 

 

 

-Her mom presses her hand onto the keyhole while having something in her hand pushed into it. The door slowly opens up and a beautiful ruin comes into view. In the ruins, an unknown man stands waiting for something or someone. Christina’s mom speak-

 

 

“Who are you and why have you been here?”

 

 

-He is silent and does not respond-

 

 

“Oh I see. You work for Meka, don’t you? Otherwise, you have no reason in being here outsider. You see, I’ve known someone was in this place but not who.”

 

 

“I see …you know of my master and future ruler of this world.”

 

 

-He laughs and moves toward her-

 

 

“Well, what business do you have with me and why has he sent you to our village?’

 

 

-She steps back a little-

 

 

“Well, where is your daughter Nirvana Val’ Tear?”

 

 

-She steps back a little more startled and confused-

 

 

“How do you know my name and my daughter?!”  Get the hell out of here or else I will kill you!”

 

 

-He laughs-

 

 

“Oh really. Well, killing one of you Elementist is better than none.”

 

 

-Nirvana is startled by the words that were spoken and not surprised at the same time-

 

 

“Oh…is it because me and my daughter are the future of Thelania…because she and I have the power of world regeneration…if so, then you came here only to fail your mission.”

 

 

-Christina finally sneaks into the ruin and runs behind the pillar-

 

 

 

She whispers, “Who is that with my mom? …Is this why she didn’t want me to come here?”

 

 

 

-She takes a peak at them from behind the pillar trying to see what they are doing-

 

 

 

Mom… what the hell’s going on?

 

 

 

-The unknown man looks around and notices a presence in the ruin-

 

 

Hmmm… looks like someone has brought me some company…maybe its that little Elementist…who ever it is I’m gonna have to draw them out.

 

 

 

“Well Nirvana Val’ Tear…Take this!”

 

 

-He shots a giant needle at her and Christina is startled-

 

 

What is this guy doing? …Is he trying to kill my mom?

 

 

 

-Nirvana evades the attack and summons a force field with her staff. The unknown man continues to shoot his needles at her but the force field is impenetrable. Nirvana then readies for offense-

 

 

“Now I’ll show you true power! Slicing Tornado!”

 

 

 

-She puts her hand on the barrier and a tornado forms on the outer layer of the shield. The man then jumps back on some rocks and continues to fire needles at her shield. As the tornado turns, sharp sounds are beginning from the speed of the winds. Christina watches quietly and astonished as her mom fights-

 

 

I never knew how brave and powerful mom was…kick his ass!

 

 

 

-The man then runs around the ruins and realizes that Christina is behind the pillar seeing her shadow. He then shoots a large spike at the pillar and it explodes as soon as it hits the pillar. Christina dives from behind the pillar and stumbles to the ground. The man grins, as Christina is startle and shaken that she was discovered. She glares up and see that he is as evil as anything she has ever seen-

 

 

I… I can’t move! Move body!

 

 

 

 

-Nirvana spots her on the ground-

 

 

“Christina! Run! Get out of here now!”

 

 

“Ha! Looks like I can kill mother and daughter as planned. Master3’s gonna thrilled about this.”

 

 

 

-The man jumps into the air and shoots a spike off his leg at her. Christina’s mom runs toward her to attempt to save her. The spike approaches with fast speed as the frightened Christina is paralyzed from sight on the ground-

 

 

 

It’s…its all over…in the end… this is my escape…just when I… when I was gonna forge my own path… well goodbye…mom

 

 

 

-Christina closes her eyes as the speeding spike makes it way toward her. Nirvana runs to save her daughter as the man lands on the ground waiting for impact. Just as the spike was a second away from her, Nirvana jumps in the way-

 

“Guhh…ugh”

 

 

-Nirvana falls to the ground and Christina opens her eyes only to shaken by the sight of her mother fatality wounded-

 

 

“Mom! No! Why did you do this!? You should of let me die!

 

 

I’m a burden… my mom suffers because of my hands…my…my weakness

 

 

 

-Christina glares at her hands as the man laughs and starts to walk toward them. Nirvana falls to the ground. As he approaches to finish his assignment Christina bursts into tears and her powers manifest as her body glows with rage and anger showing through every gust of power. She begins to look up and her eyes glare at the man. He is startled to see that she possesses more power than her mother. Nirvana glances over to see her daughter has gained her Elementist powers-

 

 

“Get away…from my mother!”

This is the first of two parts to the prequel. Christina has just gained  her power through the injury of her mother. Will she be able to save herself and her mother from death?! Find out on the final part of the story......
