i am the light and dark

i wonder which people think is the real me

i hear the laughter of joy

i see the tears of a broken heart

i am the light and dark

 

i pretend to reach for the sands of time

i feel the warmth were memories lie.

i touch the black petals of  a forgotten rose

i worry, will i to be forgotten?

i cry for time lost with no return.

i am the light and dark

 

i understand that time will slip by

but i say memories grow sweeter with time.

i dream to dare beyond what was

i try to look beyond the presant

i hope my dreams will make and impression in time.

i am the light and dark
