I don't know if any of you guys have heard of this Manga called LIFE its by Keiko Suenobu and i must say that it has some real shoujo-ai potential. The story centers around a girl named Ayumu who has a complicated life after her best friend does not make it into the high school that Ayumu is going to, basically her best friend blames Ayumu for her not going and she breaks off there friendship, not knowing how to handle this Ayumu turns to cutting to relive herself of her troubles...things get far more interesting when Ayumu starts high school and meets a girl named Manami who is totally obsessed with her boyfriend, Ayumu feels that she can start over and make new friends when she meets her but there's more to Manami then meets the eye and she's not so nice after all...the real chemistry starts when Ayumu meets the cool, beautiful, and mysterious Miki Hatori not much is know about her but Ayumu and her slowly start to develop friendship and well lets just say that by volume 3 it gets to the point where there is much possibility for them to become more then friends...besides i went on this on web site that said that later on they do develop a relationship other then that of just mere friendship but i won't spoil it so far only 3 volumes have been released in America and its gotten me hooked so please check it out and if you have read it i would love to hear your thoughts about it!!! The manga is rated for mature readers as it deals with many strong themes such as cutting, suicide, bulling, use of drugs (smoking is as far as they have gone and its done by Hatori its a cute scene though),nudity and sexual assault!
