Chapter Seventy-Five “I think if we go by Sector 2, we might find something that could show us which way Al headed in,” Scenario told Felix. They had been searching around for a good twenty minutes and had no luck finding her. Scenario knew that if they took too much time looking around, it would not only jeopardize the plan but could possibly place all of them in danger. “Yeah, I guess,” Felix replied as he also understood just how dangerous it was to go out of their way to go and search for Alice. Scenario nodded back and motioned Felix to follow him as they ran along Sector 5 but suddenly he stopped right at chamber 3. “What is it?” He hesitated in answering, “Felix I need you to slowly back away from me and move behind one of the buildings, got that?” Scenario had been ignoring the presences approaching them awhile ago since he thought it was just a couple of guards that were passing by but now he could sense that it was something else. He could not possibly continue to ignore what was approaching them. He knew very well that Felix didn’t have any ability and that would make him the most in danger right now, so he had to get him out of sight. Scenario was standing so perfectly still that Felix thought something had happened to him. Still he slowly nodded in response to what Scenario told him and backed away. As he did this he watched as Scenario didn’t even bat an eyelash and seemed to even be holding his breath. This made something click in Felix’s head, there is something coming. Right as Felix reached the building Scenario relaxed a bit. As long as he isn’t in view, I might be able to keep him safe, he kept telling himself. He suddenly heard the footsteps coming towards him. Now there was no way that he could possibly back down, they had already spotted him, but at this point all he was hoping was that they had only seen him and not Felix. “Well, well, looks like we found ourselves an intruder,” he heard the voice come from his right and so he turned to see who exactly it was that he sensed. He saw two girls approaching him, one of them had her wavy brown hair pulled back into a ponytail while the other had pin straight dirty blond hair. The blond one looked petite and young, with her short sleeved buttoned down shirt, long black skirt, thin black stockings, black shoes, and small red bow in her hair. And the brunette had a tight fitted black shirt that said “GAME OVER” and a pair of purple pants. “Lacey, how about we bring him to over to Chase?” the brunette asked the blond girl. All she did in response was slightly nod. “Like I’d let myself be caught so easily,” Scenario said just as Lacey smirked. Her smirk sent a sudden chill down his spin but he just ignored it. “If you’re going to put up a fight, that’s fine with us just try to not die so fast.” Lacey replied in a soft voice with a hint of a smile, “Riley, let’s begin.” Riley reached over for Lacey’s shoulder and they immediately disappeared. Shit, don’t tell me this is the one Al had to deal with back at the cemetery. Alright then, I’m pretty sure her ability is invisibility, but what is that other girl’s power?! Suddenly Scenario felt a jab at his back. What the hell was that? He turned around and felt another jab at his leg. “You’re way too slow mister,” he recognized that as Lacey’s voice. Slow my ass. He slowly tried to keep his head cleared so he could keep a good track of at least Riley since her only power was to stay invisible. I doubt she would make a direct attack at me because of that, which is good. The reason Scenario hadn’t used any of his powers yet was because he didn’t want to draw too much attention but more importantly Scenario never used his powers when he was alone, since it was just too dangerous of a move. That was because he had to be concentrated for a good minute or more, and there was no way that during a fight an opponent would wait for him to power. “How come you’re not fighting back, are you just weak?” He was getting a clearer picture that Lacey was a very naïve fighter. Scenario was getting closer to having cleared his head so he could sense Riley and Lacey’s presence. Suddenly he felt Riley’s energy in order to track her but there was no trace of Lacey. He heard laughter, “There is no possible way someone like you could trace down my energy.” “We’ll just have to see, won’t we?” Scenario retorted back. Riley then surprisingly appeared before him with her arms wide open, as if signaling him to come in for a hit but he knew that it had to be some sort of trap and so he didn’t take the initiative to go in for the attack. “Not going to come at me when I’m giving you a free shot? Hah you’re going to highly regret that.” Scenario wasn’t worried about Riley disappearing because once he had a lock on someone’s energy he never lost it, that’s why he was panicking a little about Lacey since he hadn’t even gotten a small hint of where she was. Riley easily knew what he was thinking about, “You could try as hard as you want to track her but there is no way you will ever get her.” Scenario felt a deep jab in his back and he held in a loud grunt. He unsteadily fell to the ground on his knee, what is going on? He turned his head and saw Lacey standing perfectly erect with her hands placed behind her. Her face was perfectly emotionless and that slightly rubbed Scenario the wrong way, she obviously isn’t fighting for the pleasure of defeating someone, he got that much from the short amount of time he was around her, then why exactly does she fight for? He quickly placed the thought aside and tried to lock onto her but she disappeared again without a single trace, if she disappeared like Riley did then I wouldn’t be having this much trouble tracking her, so then maybe that isn’t her power. But as he was attempting to get a lock on Lacey, he slightly forgot about Riley, who was now charging straight at him. He swiftly brought out his gun, and although he always tried his best to avoid using it, right now he didn’t have much choice. Riley watched as Scenario took out his gun, and since she knew her guns very well she instantly knew it was a black Beretta M9A1. It was a nice choice in gun but that little thing wouldn’t keep them “frightened” for long. Lacey noticed as Riley gave her the signal to back away for just a few seconds and then she saw Scenario had his gun in his hand. She smirked and got herself ready. Since Scenario had a lock on Riley he aimed the gun right at her, “I have you Riley,” he calmly informed her. “Really, is that so? Well if that’s true, why don’t you shoot or are you scared?” He kept himself calm because he knew she was trying to get him angry so he wouldn’t think about his moves and just move on his impulses but he had dealt with many people that tried to use that mind trick. Scenario shrugged, “Maybe I just don’t really need it.” He slowly placed the gun back in his to the side of his pants. Riley took all his actions as irrational since that gun was probably the only thing that would have kept him from dieing so soon, but she didn’t really care, he just made their job that much simpler. “You really shouldn’t have done that.
“You’re probably right but I’ll take my chances.”
