SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 40 OF VAMPIRE KNIGHT MANGA! If you liked this video, check out my others here and subscribe please if you haven't already: http://www.youtube.com/user/MyVampireEyes --- After reading the latest manga chapter, I just had to do this; I was originally planning on using just the anime, but since these eps aren't likely to be out until the summer's over, I did it using the manga scans. This video is quite different to the ones I usually do; I relied mostly on pan-crop tool and one cookie cutter. I wanted to prove I can make a good video with not only pictures, but very little effects. I really like how this turned out. This video tells the story of the Kiryuu twins, Zero and Ichiru. From young children, they were raised to be Vampire Hunters, but Ichiru, the youngest, was often sick. This led to the parents deciding that Ichiru was not fit to become a hunter, and after overhearing their conversation and realizing that he would not be able to follow the same path as his brother, Ichiru met Shizuka, a vampire whose lover had been mistakenly labeled as a Level E and disposed of by Ichiru's parents. He began forming a bond with Shizuka, and grew hateful to his parents and brother. Shizuka later attacked the Kiryuu hosehold, leaving no one but Zero alive at Ichiru's request. But not undamaged. Zero was bitten, and was about to face an even more damned destiny. Ichiru was taken in by Shizuka and raised as a servant. Years later, Ichiru and Zero were to cross paths again when Shizuka and Zero had a confrontation in which Zero planned to kill her. Ichiru and Zero fought, and Shizuka was killed later at some point by Kaname. Seeing Zero at her side, Ichiru blames Zero for killing her and vows to have him killed. Beginning to work for Rido, the true ancestor of the Kurans (Kaname's family), Ichiru is sworn vengenace on "Those who killed Shizuka" by Rido. Zero is captured and imprisoned by Rido and Ichiru visits him in his cell and immediately shoots him. Ichiru is, however, gravely injured, and at this point, he begins to spill his soul; He knew Rido was the one responsible for Shizuka's death, as he was the one who had tampered with the notice saying her lover had to die, directly being responsible for Ichiru and Zero's parents deaths, Zero becoming a vampire, and, having been stabbed by Rido in vegance as he had tried to assault him, now Ichiru's death. As Ichiru lays dying in his brother's arms, he asks him of only one request: To eat him.Eat him, and gain the power that should have been his when he was in their mother's womb. He only shot him because he knew that only a human's blood could cure a vampire's injuries. Zero, after much hestiance, does so, and stumbles his way from the cell that his brother left open. -- Wow, long explanation. XD But it was needed, LOL.
