chapter two: “The chobits incident”
One fine day, my friends and I decided to start an anime club. This club was run by my best friend (who I will call Lolita since she loved the book so) and I. So, as a co-president, Lolita made the oh so great decision that it would be a good idea to show her favorite anime, which was Chobits, in our club.
Now, in order to have any club at my school, you have to have a teacher sit on the meetings and advise it. So, one day, Lolita showed the first episode of Chobits. Now, for those of you who have never seen Chobits, there is a lot of sexual innuendo (involving a joke about oral sex) and yelling of the word “porn!” which is not a good thing to have around your ninth-grade history teacher.
So, of course, our poor teacher’s nerves were frazzled and the moral of this story is:
“You can show anything you want in the club as long as it’s not that anime with the robot,” – the teacher
