One rainy night, I was running away from my boyfriend. I ran deep into the woods and ran into a guy. I backed away in shear fright and said sorry while looking down. He just stood there and lifted my head and looked at my cuts and bruises from my boyfriend’s physical abuse. I looked at him frighten and realized that he was a vampire. Then everything went black. I started to hear a voice that says, “Are you ok miss?” I woke up in a cave. I looked around and saw that same vampire. He was pale skinned with fangs and pointed ears.

“Where am I?” I said. Then I saw other vampires around.

“This is where I live.” Said the vampire.

I then asked him, ”What is your name?” “Aki” he answered.

“Oh, that’s a nice name, I said. “I’m Rukia.

“Nice to meet you,” Aki replied.

Silence fell for a while. I started looking at my bruises and cuts and started crying and said “but why would he do such a thing?”

“What’s wrong Rukia?” Aki asked me.

“Nothing, I just don’t want to go back to him,” I answered back.

“Who?” he asked.

“My boyfriend or was my boyfriend.” I responded.

“Oh so that’s where got those cuts and bruises?” he asked.

“Yes” I nodded.

“I’m not going to ask what happened okay,” he said.

“Thank you” I replied.

“Sure,” he said to me.

I got up to go walk around but get stopped by another vampire. I got frightened of that vampire and I just stood there afraid. Aki came up to me,” it ok they’re just upset that they have a human in here.” He said.

“But why are they upset that I’m in here?” I replied.

“The human’s killed our comrade because he fell in love with their daughter.” He answered back.

“Well, I wont do anything like that.” I responded.

“I know, but what about your boyfriend?” he asked.
“What about him, I don’t care for him anymore nor does he!” I snapped at him.

“Sorry that I brought him up.” he apologized

“It’s fine.” I said. “Will they let me walk if I walk with you?” I asked.

“Maybe. How about you stay close to me okay.” I replied.

“Okay.” I responded and started to follow him closely. Then a girl vampire walked next to us and I shied away and hid my face in his arm.

The female vampire asked “what’s wrong with her and why is she here?”

Aki replied I don’t know but she’s here to stay. I looked at him as we walk around.

“Yeah but she’s a human.” the female said sternly.

“So what she’ll be staying with me.” He said looking at me. I blushed as he said it to me. I started to think that I starting to fall in love with him and forgetting about the other man that abused me. The female vampire came over to me and I got scarred. My tears start falling my face because I was so scarred of her.

He snapped at her and said. “Back off you’re scarring her!”

“Me scarring her.” She laughed.

“She isn’t going to do anything to us if she was she would’ve done it by now.” He growled. The female vampire looked at him in disbelief. I giggled in his arm. As we walked away I asked him “Am I really going to stay here?”

He said, “Yes if you don’t have anywhere else to go.”

Then I thought if I should go back or not. I thought about it for a while and I decided to stay here and so I said to him that I was staying here with him. He smiles at me and I smiled back. As we walked around I noticed that this place was interesting. I sat down at the table that was wooden and stable. I started asking him more questions like can vampires have kids but when I asked that he hesitated and said, “I don’t know.” And looked away.

"Oh, ok." I said softly. Then I saw more vampires come toward us I got up and rushed toward

Aki and hid behind him but I looked out a little they seem angry for some odd reason.

“Is there something wrong?” Aki asked the others

“There certainly is!” Said, another vampire pointing a finger at me. “You know humans aren’t aloud in here, right?” yelled one of the vampires .

“Yeah, so, who said she’s going to stay human?” Aki snapped. I was shocked that he said that.

“I didn’t know you could blood humans.” I said curiously. He nodded at me. “Only if you’re willing to be blooded.” Aki said calmly.
