"I never liked you," I said in the harshest voice that I could manage.

Silence falls upon us.  The only sound was the rain.  *drip drop, drip drop*.  He stared at me with those beautiful brown eyes of his.  I really wanted to run into his arms, but I know I'll never be able to do that again. 

It's all for the best.  He comes from a wealthy, respected family, while I grew up in poverty.  Society will never allow us to be together.

I must end this troubled relationship once and for all, while the rain is still falling.  The rain is my ally.  It hides all my tears with its own tears.

"I only liked you for money!,"  I lied.  My voice trembled. "Don't take this relationship so seriously!  God, did you think I really loved you?  Well, think again!"

He stares down at the dirty puddles on the ground.  He slowly walks away.

When he was out of sight, I finally cried with all my might.  The tears I was holding back was way too much.  My legs gave in, and I kneeled down on the dirt.

"It's over," I whispered. "It's really over." 

"Sayonara, my first love."

"Sayonara..."

The rain keept on falling for a long time.  It stopped when I stopped, but I could still hear the rain drops hitting the dirt even on a sunny day.  *drip drop, drip drop...*

Now and Forever, I'll always remember that day.  I'll always remember the sound of the rain. *drip drop, drip drop*

The rain never seemed to end in my heart.  That endless, rainy night left a hole in both of our hearts for ever.  It's the rain that seperates us.  *drip drop, drip drop..."
